Proraso Beard Care Trio Set

For many years, I've loved the ritual of my morning shave. I was very old-school, using proper shaving soap, brush, and a straight ('cut-throat') razor. Proraso products were part of that morning pleasure. More recently when I decided to grow a full beard - for a while at least - I suffered the dreaded itchy face during the early stages. I saw this oil/balm/shampoo set, and since I already loved the cypress & vetyver after shave, I bought it. It's a typical Proraso product - pleasing aroma, high quality, and doesn't break the bank. The shampoo is 'low sud' and is formulated for frequent use. The oil has the yummy vetyver smell, and does a good job. The balm needs a bit more explanation. Generally a beard balm is a sort of wax, designed mainly to hold the beard in your preferred style. But this product really IS a balm - a liquid cream which comes in a bottle - and does an awesome job of dealing with the itch that can come in those first weeks of growing a beard. Though it doesn't do a bad job of styling the beard either, so, best of both worlds. Whether you're just starting to 'grow your own', or know someone who is, this is a good purchase.

The tin isn’t sealed and it seems like it’s damaged, when I opened the box I found another damaged piece, which was the beard balm. I am so disappointed to see this, since I bought this as a present and it feels like a used product rather than a new one… I tried to ask for a refund, but unfortunately I cannot return this item.

Great price quality ratio and complex smell that develops using the products surprised me in a positive way. Beard oil il starts with heavy cypress and finishes with sweet mellow vetiver, simply feels great..
