A glimpse to life and spirituality
Book- Veronica decides to dieAuthor Paulo Coelho"There is always a gap between intention and action"~ Veronica decides to die, the very first pageIn the said 'SATIYUGA', action and intention measured the same sin.But it is not the age of truths, but agendas, the backdrop where the story is set. A newly mapped country none knows about, and the lives it fortifies, no one cares about or wants to know, not even the ones behind the walls, accompanying their lives.Veronica the protagonist, has everything one can aspire for, but struggles to unleash the barricades of monotony, living everyday, but failing to live and meet the meaning of her life. Many of us have gone through what Veronica's mind couldn't get past! Once in their lives, everybody must have thought about finding and giving a meaning to their lives, but to no consequence, concerned with the painstaking effort of being clueless and turning towards nothingness, then calling quits and thinking about death! Here the difference begins, the difference between intention and action! We all intend to commit something melancholic and dreadful, yet ecstatic and peaceful. On the other hand, Veronica had already decided her fate, acting against the laws of nature and humans, and committed the treachery of suicide.Decisions made hastily end up nowhere, but she did, in a mental asylum 'Villete'. Unpredictable are the stances, to her as well as to the reader. The story is about learning that life or death isn't our choice, or finding meaning isn't a service that comes with brainstormings, it comes from within, when we shatter the high walls of sanity and get into the unambiguous paths of madness. We may not find any meaning, until and unless we get ourselves aware of Life, and that can happen only if we get aware about the limited days we have, every other day sounding as a miracle. There's anonymous time between present and death, with which it should come to your mind about the never ending paths you're yet to cross, if this is all you've to make out of your time, already limited, but as long as an infinity. If you ask for meaning, it doesn't come with what majority defines as sanity. You have got to break those walls built high within, for the epiphany to hit.Being different is an act of madness, because you no longer care about what others think, but your vision. The artists the writers and the poets, all are mad because they have their own world of imagination, of metaphors and stories, none wants to beleive in, but still are pleased to hear.Finding and enacting upon things you have got hidden from your own self is a way to completeness, and to find them out, you'll have to break the monotony and escape what is good or bad for society, to find out the love that balances wisdom.Death is nothing, but a sudden thrust of truths blinded by the immense lights of falsehood."I didn't want it to end!"Paulo Coelho is one of the best out there and his books incorporate the ability to change you, as a human and rethink about the lives you're living! It makes you spell bound and trust me you'll not want to leave the book. It plots and weaves a plethora of monologues into the main stream, each bringing up another life to learn from. The book has the perfect tincture of philosophy, wisdom, curiosity, extrapolation, veracity and spirituality. It will broaden the daylight, will show what you don't, in the light and the dark!I used to think about stories being nothing more than fictions or non fictional stances and metaphoricaly elated stanzas and personified words with an unfathomable depth. But they are more than mere words! These words flare the ability to change you, and turn you to a new leaf! They have to ability to illuminate moon without its sun, to turn a dark room bright with a single ray of ligh. This book is magic! It will be a life changer for you. It is a treasure of knowledge, of stories you'd never have had experienced, laid for you, to experience, observe and learn from. It will give you a chance to ruminate, about the mistakes you never did, or failures you never came across, but now you know and are well aware of them, standing tall, learned and experienced.'Books do give you experiences you were at a denial with!'If you're unaware of your light, this book is for you.Take notes from the paragraphs!I'll give it another read, definately, because it is a "mine of wisdom, an unending brink of knowledge and inspiration".Intriguing yet philosophical in nature, it teaches you about science and philosophy, both at once on a single log of swing. It is an epitome carved at a niche of spiritual dearth. If you want to change your ways and rethink about life, make something out of it, search for the purposes and unabridged paths, this is a book for you....It has so much to talk about, from the realms of madness, the life inside and out, to life and death, science and spirituality, depression and resurrection. It is a thought provoking book, that's going to wake you out of your slumber of not knowing your own self.Rating⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Is life always worth living????
VERONIKA DECIDES TO DIEAuthor: Paulo CoelhoGenre: Fiction/PhilosophyTHIS BOOK REVIEW IS ONLY BASED ON MY FEELINGS DURING READING THE BOOK. IT DOES NOT INTENT TO HURT ANYONE’S FEELINGS, AND DOES NOT MEANT TO COMPARE WITH ANY OTHER REVIEWER’S FEELINGSIS LIFE ALWAYS WORTH LIVING ???????????YOU ACTUALLY MAY NOT BE AN OUTCAST, JUST BECAUSE YOU SEE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY. ……….. Another Paulo Coelho book for mine, and again I’m amazed. How can one author be so prominent in writing his books, so that in every line, you will sit back and think like whats he is talking about, and then realize that every bit of words in the sentence actually also relates to you?Though I must say that this book was not up to the mark initially, and I was getting a little bored, and that took me almost weeks to finish it up. But the last hundred pages were amazing, and the final twist in the tale it gave, was awesome. For the readers who want to read it, I must say it is a highly spiritual kind of a book, and if you don’t have the power of imagination and belief you should not go for it. But if you want, and go through it, there are really some good life lessons in the pages. My Finally my Rating is::4.3/5.0

'Veronica Decides to Die' but the book lives on...
Despite the title, this book is more about life. At some point in life, you must've thought about how meaningless, how futile your life has become. How difficult it is to put on your shoes and walk even a few miles, how callous people have been around you, how love has betrayed you in every possible way, how hard it has been to prove every inch of your mind and soul, how you have to work harder than others to procure littlest of the worldly pleasures, how your prayers remain unanswered, how really difficult it is to put on your shoes and walk even for a mile. You've raised a hundred questions and answered them with your own limited knowledge. You try to keep balance, you compete with the entire world, you please everyone around you, at least you pretend to, you try to fit in so bad, you try to prove you can, you think you've known everything and when you seem to can't achieve happiness you give up on yourself. It has happened to all... Isn't it? Pleasing yourself is the last thing we deem important to do as there's always too much more to do.You feel content to know the height of Everest and the depth of Mariana but you have no clue what lengths of passion your mind may lead you or what depths your soul pines to seek euphoria. But you settle, until your mind unsettles your fake repose. Madness begins when you refuse to accept your uniqueness and still keep on acting like a 'normal' person. In that sense we are all mad people to some extent.I've fallen again and again for the flare of Coelho's writing style. The plot is simple but the turn of events are impeccable, you feel glued from the very inception, the background has been portrayed vividly so that you can visualise easily, and Veronica is so relatable. Veronica is that side of our mind that refuse to see beyond the monotony of the prosaic life. Whereas, I believe your life is your own canvas. You either paint it with the vibrant colors of your dreams or you prefer it grey with plain black and white strokes of your pessimism and hopelessness. But eventually, Veronica doesn't get to decide to die it's the destiny that decides the end of her story. Moreover, I don't know what life exactly is all about, but one thing that I'm sure about is- Carpe Diem!!!And everything passes sooner or later. Just like that! This is one of those books I definitely would love to read all over again. It's one of those books that makes you stop for a while, appreciate the grace of the simple language, think for a moment and then go on to read this enthralling book again....
