So far, the only amazon sea monkey kit that worked. I get a sea monkey kit for my friend every year for her birthday as a long-running gag. She set it up this week and can see activity already. She works in a school so this will be fun for kids.She did note that the boiling water may have warped the plastic container a bit, but they see no real problems so far.

Purchased as a birthday gift for my science loving 6 year old. It came with really good instructions, links to a podcast and great photos. It took a while for them to hatch, but it was fun to watch. Included everything we needed but water!

Love Sea Monkeys! Always a great gift

Bought this for my 5-yr son. It‘s his 1st time to have seamonkeya and he was soooo excited. Guess what? 3 days later and still nothing was happening. We followed every single instruction on the manual. Not as single egg hatchedand now he‘s heart broken. Guess I will just buy him another set from another brand.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This was a fun activity for the kids. The shrimp stay super tiny so the kids lost interest after a while, but the concept is nice and it was a good price for what we received. Don’t over feed them tho!

I got this for my son for Christmas and we set it up the next day. It was simple to follow instructions. We left it alone for a few days then added a little food. A few days later we counted about 5 hatched eggs. I kind of thought that would be it. I looked about a week later and now there are a ton! So definitely give it some time. We keep this in my son’s room where there’s some sun, but not much.

This is great I’ve had them before years ago and LOVED THEM, Cool creatures, great first pet for someone looking for something simple, however this one they keep dying and I’ve done everything the instructions say to do I don’t know where I’m going wrong but they’ve died 3x and at this point I don’t know what to do. But it u manage to get this and they live “only a few will live and it’ll get bigger to where u can see it better” they are extremely cool to watch. My review is coming based on all of them dying each time I tried and no have no clue why.

Bought for my son. He’s 7. He is absolutely amused by these. They last a long time. He loved watching the shrimp hatch and swim around. It’s a little easier for parents to feed them and do the first part of putting it together with the water. But my son had fun decorating the tank with the stickers it came with and watching the shrimp swim around.
