Friends, let's talk about this Philips Wireless Security Chime situation for a minute. I honestly didn't know this type of faux security gadget even existed!!!🤯 One day I was casually complaining to AI about how maintenance in my building seems to think they can enter tenants apartment labeling everything as an.... emergency. And then when people's wallets and money suddenly up and leave from where tenants left it, in the privacy of their own home, suddenly maintenance has no clue what they are talking about. 😤 So, this product was suggested to me and I thought my AI was glitching for a moment. I decided to check this Security gadget out and.... I purchased it! I bought it immediately because obviously staff where I live are infringing upon tenant rights, (which will be handled through the appropriate channels), and I knew I needed to get to a point where I feel SAFE in my own home. I don't have wifi, so a standard camera for me wouldn't solve the issue, but I knew I needed to get some type of deterrent in the interim so staff will know they are under surveillance. A few days after I purchased this Security doorbell, I put it up on my apartment door very quickly and easily. Ya'll, I can't even begin to describe to you the amount of relief I began to feel.😭 I know the camera isn't real, but those who dare try to approach my apartment door DON'T know it's NOT real. When anyone gets close to this doorbell, a blue light comes on indicating that the camera is working and that I'm on the opposite side of that door WATCHING you. 🤨 The door bell also comes with a square speaker that has numerous doorbell chimes you can select, and various volume options. This thing is LOUD. It works perfectly. The doorbell and the speaker both uses batteries so don't forget to buy them along with this item. Buy AA batteries as well as AAA. This doorbell looks friggen REAL. No one can tell me anything. And no one is going to question it either since it's from a legit brand! PHILIPS!!! As it stands, I am going to keep this door dummy doorbell on my door looking real cute yet intimidating. In the next week, I will set up wifi in my apartment and hookup a real camera aimed at my door for REAL surveillance. I am detailing all of this out in my review, so that you all will know that you have OPTIONS in terms of safety and security. Even if you can't afford more expensive cameras etc. I travel multiple times a year, and I was always hyper anxious about my apartment when I would leave for an extensive period of time. But I'm so happy to have this dummy bell because it REALLY IS a deterrent! It's small and it fulfills the purpose of what I bought it for. It costed me a bit over $20, and for the peace of mind I have????? It's priceless. 😌 Once I get my real camera set up, I will have even more peace and feel safer. COMPLETELY. Only one staff person came to my apartment and they rung the bell. I wasn't home and I just played it off by saying I hadn't looked at the.... This is a great item! The chime works well. You can change it to over 30 different sounds and adjust the volume. Even on the lowest setting it is loud enough to hear easily! The fake camera looks real! The motion sensor works great. It turns on the little blue light and puts out enough to light to be seen from a distance.
