Q: how does Neutral Regulator differ with Prime?

Prime only dechlorinates, it does not adjust ph. Neutral Regulator lowers/raises the ph to 7.0 as well as dechlorinating. Don't use neutral regulator with salt water

Q: How long will the pH remain neutral? Will it slowly change to what the pH was before?

I use this in my koi pond and it stays neutral for months. However, I still check it on a weekly basis. Good luck.

Q: Will the pH fluctuate when using this?

Once you get it to the desired pH, it should stabilize. The amount of product you need to get to the desired pH depends on a lot of factors, including the volume of water, the initial pH, the water hardness, etc. If there is a regular addition of some kind of acid or base (from decaying food, additions of non-neutral water, etc.), then the product will eventually be 'consumed'. You will need to add some more to make up for water changes, but this product also has the benefits of removing chlorine/chloromine and metals, so that's a good thing.

2 tsp for 30 gallons, in our case, so it'll treat a lot
