Bought this first time as a gift to the friend - worked perfectly. Basis the feedback, we bought one for ourselves. It worked for 2 days after which the electronic control panel started acting funny. It would keep beeping and self changing the temperature and or time. Turned it off, removed the plug from the socket, etc. etc. several times but the issue would keep recurring. Returned the product as it was defective and ordered another one. Lo and behold, we are facing the same issue again! Is it that they sent the same defective product? I do not know - the cooking is awesome but this malfunction is terrible. So returning this one as well and ordering another one - last try for Black+Decker Air Fryer!

Looked at different air fryers in shops and none of them seemed well built unless they were really expensive. This Black+Decker was available on an Amazon sale so I took a chance. Well constructed, used it for a month now. My conventional fan oven takes 30 minutes to heat up, this one 3. So very handy in that regard. Cooking times same as my fan assisted oven (ie as per instructions on frozen oven chip packet etc), results are crispier but no substitute for deep frying (I don’t think any air fryer is, nor did I expect it). Really handy for quick snacks as in frozen pies, chips, chicken wings and cooking vegetables, potatoes and other things when my conventional oven is busy with other things. Good for 2 to 4 people, well supplied with equipment such as non-stick trays and basket, extremely easy to clean including the oven. Controls very intuitive. During operation, the sidewalls get hot, but not hot enough to burn you within seconds. Most of the heat comes out the back, but a 20cm gap to a wall is fine. Glad I bought it, and the 2-year warranty gives peace of mind.

I LOVE this air fryer!! I bought it for the rotisserie function and it’s been a game changer for us. I mix olive oil or ghee with some spices and spoon it all over a chicken( don’t get a mutant big one! 1 kg or less works best!) and 30 min later FAB chicken..my hubby says it’s the best he’s ever had! I read other reviews on the door being flimsy feeling, and it IS loose seeming, but I have it on a counter that is wide enough to support the door when I open it..if your counter is very narrow, it may drop down too far..no problem for me though. My husband enjoys throwing frozen hash browns in for a quick snack..turns out great! 5 stars from me!!
