DC as well as AC clamp meter
The most distinguishing feature is that for a reasonably priced clamp meter it does DC as well as AC where as cheaper meters will do only AC. It is worth noting that since you have to place either the live or the neutral wire through the loop and not both together the use of an AC only clamp meter is somewhat limited as most mains wires are paired together in leads and conduits. However, with DC accessing either positive or negative wiring is often easier. It is also a full featured multimeter with temperature, frequency, capacitance and NCV as well as the usual voltage and resistance, continuity and diode features. It measures true RMS.As you might expect from the price it does lack some features. The accuracy specification is average and it lacksthe ability to measure AC and DC current directly using the probes which mean that you can't make accurate low current readings. The meter does have a hold feature but not maximum and minimum readings. This would mean that you could not easily measure transients such as starter current.I found the meter easy to use and as accurate as my other multimeters. In fact some random tests with a capacitor, resistor and a batttery gave identical readings (within 1 count) to a more expensive 6000 count meter. The NCV feature for detecting live wires in walls worked very well. Temperature measurement was about 2 degrees higher and room temparture ie reading 23C at 20.5C but other multimeters with themocouples were just if not more inaccurate for example on read 18C. This is within specification bearing in mind that the range is between -20C and 1000C and the datasheet says 20C +- 2C.Of course the main feature is the clamp meter. There are 2 ranges 60A and 600A. When trying to measure DC on the 60A range the meter will show a zero error which may be +/- 100mA or more. This has to be zeroed out just before making the measurment. The zero feature is only required on the 60A DC range which has a resolution of 10mA. I was suprised that you with care could get rough current readings of a low currents of a 100mA DC. I have yet to evaulate the meter at higher currents.

A Versatile and User-Friendly Clamp Meter
As an avid DIY enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of testing this impressive clamp meter. From the moment I unboxed it, I was struck by its compact size and thoughtful design. The large, backlit display is a standout feature, making readings effortless even in dimly lit areas. What sets this device apart is its versatility. Not only does it measure both AC and DC amperage, but it also functions as a voltmeter and offers resistance measurements. Automatic measurement detection is a brilliant touch, streamlining the process and reducing the likelihood of errors.I was particularly impressed by the non-contact voltage detection feature. It's incredibly handy for quick safety checks without requiring direct contact with live wires. The included accessories, such as the temperature probe and alligator clips, further expand its utility. While it may not boast the same level of precision as some high-end professional models, its accuracy is more than sufficient for household and hobby use. My only minor gripe is the lack of a kickstand for hands-free operation.Overall, this clamp meter offers excellent value for money. It's ideal for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking for a reliable, easy-to-use electrical testing tool.

Easy to use
It is very easy to use and does the job as expected.Clear to read display and I cant think of any product that for that price is even close to that versatility and quality of this product.

Clamp doesn't work???
Clamp meter function doesn't work for DC current? It's meant to be ac/dc but hey ho. Other than that (it was the only reason I bought it.) So I got this to test the current coming from my DC welding machine but no matter what I try it won't go past 0.047A.And I don't think that's the amps I'm welding 0.5" steel flat bar.
