This paddle is made well and takes to paint and carving nicely. I made it look amazing once I got it. It is made really well with good quality materials. It feels good in my hand. Great frat paddle.

The paddle that I received may have been shaped with dull blades because as you can see from my photos, the end grain is not smooth. It is rough enough that some spots need to be filled and all end grain will have to be sanded.One could just paint over it but some of the imperfections will be noticeable.The faces are very well finished and ready for paint.The overall shape is very well done.It’s a value priced paddle.
