Great battery life and the noise level is pretty quiet! The plastic pieces for trimming my beard feel like they are gonna break, but haven't broken yet and no signs of wear (used about 20 times) so I would call them durable! Handle is great length to manuver and can get great results for a medium length beard!

This is my 3rd one I've purchased. I've been using them for over a decade. The first one lasted 8+ years and the only reason I needed the 3rd is because I dropped it and it broke the blade. I researched trimmers for a solid hour but could not bring myself to buy anything else. Will buy this again in another 8 years.

How to for a while now. It works great charges well and it is durable.

The product feels like it's solid metal, so it definitely has good build quality. It charges very fast, battery lasts a long time, etc. Only complaint I have is that it sometimes catches hairs. Other than that great product.

I had this exact trimmer until I moved and it was MIA. It's the best I've ever had. I can trim and shape my beard like a pro, so my barber commented. The trim is even and has great ergonomics, at least for me. It has some weight to it and is easy to control. I don't recall ever having a gaffe with it. It charges pretty fast, holds the charge and runs for a long time between use. I highly recommend.

The reason is that this product disappointed me so much, and I was so upset about the money and time I wasted that I figured I should spend a little more time to write this review.Let’s start from the beginning.I bought the Wahl Model 9864SS with the grooming kit. Before buying it, I watched a lot of reviews, read various articles, and looked at different product feedback. Most of the reviews said it was a good product, and some influencers even did reviews claiming it was great, and I believed them (now I’m thinking they were probably paid to promote it). So, I spent a lot of time picking a trimmer, I didn’t want to skimp on money—I wanted to buy a quality product, and I relied on online reviews and YouTube videos. That turned out to be a mistake.I used this product—or, to be more accurate, I tried to use it—for about a year. During that time, the motor got stuck three times, and I had to fix it myself. It didn’t get stuck because the motor is bad, but because this trimmer has almost no water resistance. I want to point out that I never submerged it in water, I just rinsed the blade under running water, and that was enough for water to get inside the device.I took it apart so you can see what it’s made of. The first time I took it apart, I was cursing. What did I pay over $90 for!? There’s no water resistance in this device at all. The motor is just the cheapest Chinese junk you can find. Yes, they wrapped it all up in a nice shiny package, but once you take it off, you’re left with the cheapest components possible, plus the complete lack of any water resistance. The manufacturer expects me to always clean it dry using the brushes that come with it.When you first hold this device, it feels heavy and “premium,” and you think it’s a great product with quality parts, but when I removed the metal cover, I discovered that it’s just a chunk of cheap plastic.There are a few positives, though—the accessories are nice, the case is pretty, and it comes with many attachments, some of which I did use. The blade isn’t the worst, but it’s definitely not great either. By the end of the first and last year of use, it had become quite dull, even though I used it about once a week.I also want to note the absolutely ugly and loud charger. The entire progressive world has long been using USB-C, but not in this product, it uses some kind of idiotic charger.This purchase disappointed me like no other. I regret the time I spent searching for a good product, and I feel like I was deceived. This product is not worth $90 or more. Out of the entire set, I only kept the case, and I’ll use it for something else. Everything else went straight into the trash.I definitely don’t recommend this product, and I won’t be buying anything from Wahl again.

I shave my head and trim my beard with this and it has all that I need in a nice travel bag. I’ve used many trimmers but this one is worth it. It cuts well and has a quality feel to it.
