2024 MacBook Pro Laptop with M4 Pro, 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU: Built for Apple Intelligence, 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR Display, 24GB Unified Memory, 512GB SSD Storage; Space Black

I've owned this MacBook Pro M4Pro for a few weeks, and very impressed with the power and design. I do have to admit that it's a bit heavier than I expected. My previous laptop was an intel MacBook Pro, 15 inch retina. But, the trade off for larger and better quality display, and the performance gains of apple silicon are more than worth it. I got the 48gb ram, to help future proof. Also, it'll come in handy for my apps (video editing, 3D modeling/animation). So far, activity monitor reveals low memory/cpu usage. I also chose the 512gb storage. Yes, I would have liked more storage space, but the Apple premium is expensive. I opted to get thunderbolt 4 & 5 external ssd drives. The thunderbolt 5 ssd drive actually delivers write/read speeds faster than the internal ssd. The space black is not as dark as I expected. However, it does have a serious, elegant appearance. Does it collect dust and fingerprints? Well, I really haven't noticed fingerprints. Yes, if the cover is closed, and it sits for a few days, you'll see some dust. To be fair, it's the same amount that falls on anything else, including a silver MacBook Pro. A simple wipe clears it away. Using a microfiber cloth does a great job for dusting, btw. Even though the 16 inch is large and has a bit of heft, I value the larger screen real estate over a 14 inch screen. The laptop mainly stays at home. So, size and weight is not a major consideration. I do like the form factor for the flexibility for travel. (I was considering getting a Mac mini M4Pro, and a case. But, decided on the MacBook Pro. With the possibility of going Mac Studio M4 variety later in the year.) Overall, very pleased with the MacBook Pro.

Nice screen size - best price on the web. This laptop is solid and has a nice weight to it. The M4 Pro chips are blazingly fast, and can handle everything I have thrown at it. The battery life is absolutely incredible. It stays cool, and only warms up when I'm rendering AI. Even under those circumstances, it never gets hot like my 2015 MBP. My last MBP lasted me ten years - even the battery lasts around six hours still. Apple MacBook Pro is, by far, the absolute pinnacle of laptops and technology. Nothing compares to the ease of use, power, quality, or value.

MacBook Pro is the best laptop for DJing. I use Serato DJ Pro. The M series processors are so dependable and hasn't glitched on me not once. The battery life is crazy long. I never use the power adapter when at a gig and going for about 6 or 7 hours full throttle, I still have 60% battery life left. This is not a cheap laptop but well worth the money spent since I'm making money off of it.

Absolutely loving the 2024 MacBook Pro! The M4 Pro chip is insanely fast—I can run multiple heavy apps without any lag. The 16.2” Liquid Retina display is a visual treat with super crisp resolution and smooth refresh rate. Battery life easily lasts a full day of work, and the new Space Black finish looks sleek and professional. It’s a bit pricey, but for developers and creatives, it’s worth every penny.

Love this computer. My old one crashed on me so it was time to upgrade. I got the larger screen love that.

Fast, large, powerful, beautiful.

I love this laptop. Apple's ingenious product tiering worked on me. I started with a MacBook Air, then a 14 inch MBP, then ended up with the 16 inch MBP. Although it's expensive, I truly love it. It does the small things well, which is very noticeable for me since I switched from a Lenovo laptop that has "comparable" specs. The battery life and user friendly UI is valuable to me. I also love how well it works with iPhone apps (mainly iMessage), and AirPods. I do think the MacBook Air is plenty of laptop for most people, myself included, but I decided to spend more for the better screen, speakers, and active cooling.

What else can be said about apple products. Expensive, great quality, reliable and excellent support.
