These electrical socket outlets are of great quality, they look and feel really robust.The connections are good quality too with brass cable connection grubscrews that can be tightened wit either a flat blade screwdriver or posidrive. They grip the copper conductors securely and firmly. The connections are recessed into the plastic moulding thus preventing accidental touch.The connections are angled which facilitates easier access for a screwdriver.THe sockets are designed for the UK market so it is secured to a standard UK backbox with the usual tedious machine screws...why we still use this archaic method of attachment is beyond me, when european countries have tool less installation. The machine screws are applied, as are plastic wall plugs! What these plugs are for is puzzling.A great feature of these sockets is that there is a sub frame which is screwed to the backbox, then the faceplate simply snaps-on, so the securing screws are hidden. This means that there are no ugly screws to be seen, giving it a pleasing aesthetic and a premium look.Between the two 3 pin inlets there is a USBa and 1x UBc portswhich, interestingly are vertically orientated. This is a good design choice as the connections seem more secure with less strain being put on the cable itself.£22.99 for a pack of 2 sockets with a 15% discount applied at the time of my review, great value in my opinion.

These are nice, they seem good quality, they come well packaged, they are fine. The markings on the terminals are very faint, there's a live and a neutral in the middle and two earth ports one on each side, now why would there be two ? does this mean both need to be connected to earth ? or is it just for convenience depending on your wiring ?? let me check the documentation, oh, there is none, literally nothing. I feel something would be appropriate at least to explain that and any tips for installation.

I’ve replaced the old-style double sockets in the bedroom with these, and they look modern. I particularly like the USB ports, both A and C, as they perfectly cater to my watch and mobile phone charging needs.
