If your child is having trouble learning math concepts like pre-algebra and exponents and square roots, this is the book for them. My son had difficulty with math and Mr. Fisher's books are the only ones that have helped. These books are easy to understand and have good examples and quizzes.

Best Part: Free, online videos included for every lesson!!! Be sure to read the first several pages of the workbook BEFORE you begin assigning work from it. I have purchased a good 6 or so of this book and have handed it out to my nephews and nieces, and am now going through it for shoring up the foundation skills with my son, and three other young men in my neighborhood. Very engaging, and to the point. Not too much practice, to get them discouraged. Clear layout, and help can be had from the very clear videos that Fisher have posted. True... there's no Algebra and harder stuff, but you can bet that you will send your kids back to school well shored up, if you use this book to get your kids practicing above or below their grade level - whatever is applicable for your situation. Haven't found a kid - teenagers included, who haven't found this helpful, good, and engaging!!! There are daily drills, followed by daily review, and finally, a few problems covering that new material. The format is very simple - not convoluted at all for those of our kids who are afraid of Math & complex enough for your independent kids to follow a clear progression on their own. The videos cover each new concept and Fisher coaches you to follow along and write down concepts and problems. The beauty of any video is that you can pause, go forward, and go back for greater understanding - and re-watch as you see fit. Videos are also bite-sized... not long and convoluted. Not kiddy oriented either... appropriately written, to cater to middle and high school kids... or even adults who want to brush up on lost skills or forgotten skills. If you are looking for extensive content, and tons of practice problems - this book is not for you. But, if you are looking to establish or cement your foundational skills.. this is a timeless piece for ALL HOUSEHOLDS!!! SIX BOOKS later... y'all, and looking to buy another couple now, as I just gave away the last one that I had for my teenage son!!! This one is DEFINITELY A KEEPER!!!

This book was a life saver!! I used it, along with the online video that goes along with the book (you sign up for it), and it is the best thing. We used it and my granddaughter caught up to her grade level an is doing great. Even helping the other kids!! Would highly recommend!!

We are homeschooling 2 foster children and need to know what areas in math they missed due to missing days of school before we had them.

Bought this for grandson to use over the summer to keep him from back sliding over the summer. He actually likes using the workbook, go figure lol.

I used this book to prepare our homeschooled son to return to public school in a new state. Only after just a couple weeks, his grades surpass his fellow classmates, and that is after 3.5 years as a homeschooler. Everyone thought he would struggle.... He had a good foundation, and that is what math is! Building foundations to build on and repeating processes to help with memory and retention. This workbook deserves a LOT of credit for our success - I highly recommend it!

It’s a joke to call this middle and high school math. It begins with adding 3 digit numbers.

Its just a workbook. No explaining done in the book. If i wanted videos i would go to kahn academy or youtube
