Fantastic read!
Girl Forgotten by, April HenryThis fast-paced YA thriller pulled me in from page one and didn’t let go.Girl Forgotten dives into a haunting cold case, blending true crime vibes with emotional depth. April Henry knows how to keep the tension high—secrets unravel slowly, suspects shift, and every chapter ends with just enough suspense to make you say, “One more chapter...”The protagonist’s voice is authentic and relatable, and the mystery is layered in a way that keeps you guessing without getting lost in the details. I appreciated the focus on justice, identity, and how the past echoes into the present. If you love twisty, emotionally grounded thrillers with strong female leads, Girl Forgotten is a must-read. 📚

So great and time consuming
I loved reading this and it took up so much of my time but it was worth it especially since the ending made me smile from ear to ear.

I have not read this yet, but it is purchased.
I am just finishing the 3rd book in A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. In book 1, Pip (instead of Piper) is a senior who is working on a senior project - a podcast that centers on true-crime. In Fairview (not Firview), a girl was murdered and a boy committed suicide. She wanted to find out the truth behind the crime. She works with a boy she does not know well to uncover the real killer. (Originally published in 2019).Book 2 continues with a second season of her podcast, but this time it is the disappearance of her friend's older brother. The third book takes a turn that is indeed dark and twisty. The name of the main character, the town she lives in, the senior project, and the podcast regarding a killer of a female teen in that town are in common in both books. There are differences: how long ago the murder took place; Piper is new to Firview while Pip has lived in Fairview all her life; the states they live in are across the country from each other.I am ever so curious to see how Girl Forgotten is written and what twists and turns take place! It is strange to be reading a book and shopping for a book that begin on such a similar premise. However, my students LOVE April Henry's books. I have twelve on the shelves in my classroom library, and I just purchased two additional books, including Girl Forgotten. My students are hoping the new books are on the shelf come Monday (November 6th) so they are able to sign them out to read.April Henry has inspired some kids (age range of 13 through 18) to love reading! Woot-woot! That brings me joy.Happy reading, folks!

Great read
I especially liked when it was revealed Piper'smom wasn't really dead and the emotional strain it puts on a young girl whose mom is actually in prison. Was a great book

Kept me hooked
I really enjoyed this book, kept me hooked and wanting to find out what happened. I had a few theories that I was wrong about but I didn’t figure out the who part slightly before the ending but the why was a surprise! Definitely worth reading if you enjoy mysteries!
