Why requency response range is important
These are the ones to get. They aren't too expensive, but they sound great. These have a frequency range of 5Hz-24,000Hz. Other products make claims like " high-quality audio with a 20-20KHz range". Theoretically, that's the range of human hearing, but my ears can hear the difference. Here's why...The advertised range (e.g., 5 Hz - 40 kHz) indicates the frequencies the headphones can technically produce, but it doesn’t mean they reproduce them equally well. A "flat" response—consistent volume across all frequencies—is ideal for accuracy, but most headphones have peaks and dips.Reality: At the extremes (like 20 Hz or 20 kHz), the output might roll off—meaning the sound gets quieter or less accurate—rather than being as robust as in the mid-range (e.g., 1 kHz). For example, a headphone claiming 5 Hz might only produce a faint rumble at that level, not a clear tone. Also, I have an identical-looking pair of Sony ear buds that were slightly cheaper and they sound like crap by comparison, so you can't tell by looking at them. Finally, do not believe anyone that says that the range of these headphones can somehow damage your ears. There’s no specific frequency above or below which sound inherently damages ears—whether it’s infrasound (below 20 Hz) or ultrasound (above 20 kHz)—unless it’s delivered at a high enough sound pressure level (SPL), measured in decibels (dB). In other words, you're setting the volume is to loud. So, I have bought these numerous times. I keep coming back to them even though I also have expensive Apple Airpods, because they are relatively inexpensive, comfortable, sound great and don't need to be charged. The only negative is they aren't the best for talking on the phone or using for my work meetings. For meetings with Microsoft Teams I use another pair of headphones with a microphone that's designed to be closer to the mouth for phone calls. But in a pinch they will work for phone calls and meetings. Just don't expect them to have the best quality with the microphone.

Amazing product
Great quality and really good connection. No extra noise. I love these headphones. Good cord length about 3 feet. I'll have to let yall know when they break

Great product for the price.
I really like these earbuds. I have probably bought these same ones 5 or 6 times over the years. They are very comfortable, as they come with 3 different sized buds to choose from. The sound quality is also very clear. The only problem with them is their durability. The reason I've had to buy so many is because each pair I've owned have shorted out at some point, losing sound in one or both buds. Not sure if it's because it uses an L-shaped audio jack rather than a straight one. This is the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars. But for the price, I'm willing to replace them every now and then.

Great value solid product!
Works well and sounds great! Sound quality is almost on par with my $150 over the ear headphone.

Sony plus Sony is great!
Great for side sleeping. Barely noticeable. Bass is a bit much with DAC amp but sounds great with other Sony products

My Review,
Bass: Clean, You can hear Transients of kicks really detailed, Sub has a nice touch you can really hear the rumble in some songs but sound a bit rubberish.---Mid: Distorts a lot if you drive them a ton, but overall detail soundstage and you can really hear unique details in songs, and hear the bottoms of Cymbals.---High: Mixed feelings it's really crispy and clean but overall if you can't stand the, "S" Sounds in sounds you're bound to have a bad time, fatiguing at times for long sessions of listening, it really peaks at 4khzs &10khzs a ton and can cause Tinnitus if you drive them hard or have the gain set high.---Overall good price for these headphones for this price from a, "brand name", I would give it 5 stars if they fixed the Highs but knowing Sennheiser that'll never happen, I mainly listen to EDM and IDM, so it's a hit or miss depending on mixing / genre, good for Frenchcore but stuff like Hardcore the synths become unbearable at times, for IDM it's really great and you really appreciate the work that's put into those songs.

Love these little buds
Truly pleased with my Sony buds. I find myself exclusively buying Sony earbuds lately for quality, sound and value. I bought these after my daughter used my older Sony earbuds that are nicely broken-in and she won't give them back! ;PI have been pleased with these so far, even stepped on them accidentally, and while they got scratched up bad, they still work great and I don't care because they were a steal!I've used the phone function on them several times and have had no quality issues; I can hear the caller and they can hear me clearly.Music quality is very good, not great, but very good for the price and sound better than buds costing 3 times as much. Fit is good, but wouldn't recommend for exercise, etc. as they tend to easily fall out with vigorous movement. That's not what these were designed for anyway. Comfort is very good for long listening as long as you choose the right size tip.So far, great little buds for the money after almost a year of use.

Died after less than three months
I have purchased Sony earbuds (this exact pair!) before and loved them, a pair used to last me a couple of years. This time, the quality felt noticeably cheaper -- the wire thinner and the plastic lighter. Sure enough, after less than three months of light use, the wiring has broken down so that the microphone no longer works and the audio shorts out. I take good care of my earbuds -- they weren't left in a hot car or put through the wash or anything like that. Just cheap.
