Nice little gadget
Nice little device to keep on my key chain. I use it with my Leatherman to check 9v batteries. This device does not work with AA or AAA batteries.

Didn't work straight out of the box.
Item was defective right out of the box and unfortunately the return drop off locations requite gas and tolls making the trip more expensive than the product.Dissapointed

Nice to have if you're in a pinch
This is a cool little tester. It's something to keep handy when a meter isn't available. I love gadgets and this is a unique one. It seems to work fine on the batteries I tested. Overall it's a nice to have if you're in a pinch.

Interesting, but confusing product
It does work - but it's strange. It doesn't fit well in my Wave bit holder. Hard to get in and out, and I can't leave it in and close up the Wave. Some have said that they shaved it down to make it fit, but I haven't figured out if it's too long, too wide, or too thick as yet.The voltage patterns are odd, and it's somewhat difficult to see the difference between green and yellow, at least for me.When I tested a power source rated at 13.7 volts, it displayed a pattern that's not on the box.I *THINK* it works like an abacus. Green is 10s, Yellow is 1s, and Red is .1s. Count the flashes and add up the values, some of which aren't printed on the box.In the end, it's interesting and compact, but I think it's best use is for simply testing if a circuit is live or not. It will work best with alligator clips.Given that it costs more than a multimeter, you're paying a lot for convenience, but if you wear a sheath, it will be easy to have this with your wherever you go.The make another product called "switch," but it's hard to find an expensive. It looks much more capable.

It works.
Fit my Leatherman Arc perfectly and it works as intended. Worth the money to have voltage testing capability when away from home full sized equipment.
