It was an exact replacement for the old unit.The built-in failure float switch is a nice feature.The real age of the old unit is not known but based on the appearance of the inside it had been in service - and not maintained/cleaned for several years. The new unit is working well.

Moves water efficiently! Works like a champ to push water along tubing, even when the tubing is running up to the utility sink! When it kicks in, motor is quiet. There is no leakage. It is a terrific solution for condensation removal. I would buy it again. Installation was easy and was completed quickly.

Bottom line, this little pump does exactly what it says it will do. I installed it in my crawl space and it is doing a great job. A word of caution, it states not for high efficient HVAC and I have no idea why that is the case. I have measured the condensate and it is well within its performance range. There are a lot of condensate pumps, some with more gauges and lights, but in the end of the day, this one does the job for me and it was less than 50% of the cost of some of the other units that I looked at. I also noticed this is the unit our HVAC firm installed...so feel good about that. It is SUPER easy to install, now I need to see how long it will last, the prior unit was just shy of 20 years...so we will see about the LITTLE GIANT

VCMA-15ULT [This model has no safety switch]This is replacing a old pump that I was concerned that it would fail soon since it was 20 years old. The old model had no safety switch and worked fine so I just replaced with the same since I was not sure how the wiring would work on the safety switch model. The unit arrived quickly and was in perfect shape. I removed the cardboard on side of unit and tried it out in the backyard before installing by filling it up and making sure the pump was activated, it worked perfectly. Installation was a breeze since it was essentially a straight swap. One thing I would recommend is getting it hooked up then using a small water bottle filling the unit and make sure it turns on and no leaks/issues. Adding water and testing the unit would be a good idea to do yearly in my opinion. Overall excellent product.

This a good pump and it has decent head pressure. Mine pumps water when full from a large dehumidifier running 24/7 up 10ft before it exits the house. It works perfectly and is quiet. I recommend it.
