I had a Soda Stream for a long time and was wary of switching brands, but I am glad I did. This devise works great, takes up a little less room on my counter and uses standard cylinders so it is easy to make the sparkling water my family enjoys.

La máquina llegó a tiempo y en buen estado. Es muy fácil de usar y funciona bastante bien. Lo único es que al atornillar la botella e inyectarle el gas, se escapa un poco de agua. De resto, todo muy bien. Estoy muy satisfecha con el producto.

Worked great for about 2.5 months. Then, something happened and the bottle won’t lock in any longer. Had another brand that lasted for years before it gave out. Was hoping that Philips would be just as good. :(

Replaced my Soda Stream fizzi one touch with this -- I'm pleasantly surprised. Watching the costs of carbonating machines continually rising was depressing. So was a life without bubbles ... But then I found this! It's a manually operated fizzer (no electricity, just a button to release the CO2 from the tank and into your water). My SS Co2 cylinders work on this new machine. The bottles don't. Philips has a propietary "twist" type bottle, so you will have to buy some if you want to keep more on hand than the one provided. I'm happy with this as a replacement. It's half the price it would have cost to replace the SS, so I feel like I'm already ahead!

So far so good. I have run into the issue some folks have talked about with the vent getting stuck open, but I discovered that only seems to happen if the seal is not good on the bottle. This can be remedied by re-screwing it back in, or supporting the bottle from the bottom while carbonating. I now just do this by defaul.t and showed my husband how, and we've had no problems with it since. It's an inexpensive unit compared to competitors, so I really can't complain. We've already gone through 2 of the 60L cylinders because my husband likes to carbonate all his water on top of any soda we do. So it's getting heavy use. My only real complaint is that Philips doesn't make a glass or aluminum bottle that is compatible with this model. Using plastics aside, the bottles that go to this have a 24 month lifespan and then they're supposed to be replaced. Glass and aluminum would not. However, my primary reason for choosing the Philips over competitor brands was price, and the fact that it uses screw in style CO2 cylinders. One of the leading brands is swapping almost exclusively to quick connect style which are more expensive and more difficult to get from 3rd party makers. The screw in style the Philips uses are very easy to find from many different companies at a reasonable cost, and to find companies that do a cylinder exchange program.

Es muy fácil de usar y permite preparar agua con gas en pocos segundos, sin complicaciones. Un aspecto destacable es la facilidad para conseguir el cilindro de gas. Existen muchas marcas compatibles que se ajustan perfectamente, lo que facilita el reemplazo y hace que el mantenimiento sea sencillo y accesible. Con el uso continuo ha demostrado ser un producto confiable para el día a día. Aunque tiene algunos detalles menores que podrían mejorar, en general cumple muy bien su función y ofrece una buena experiencia de uso. Una opción recomendable para quienes buscan practicidad y resultados constantes.

My husband and I prefer carbonated drinks so I decided to get this and test it out to see how well it works. We like some energy drinks that are unfortunately not carbonated, as well as some of our pre-workout and amino drinks and BCAAs for after the gym that are not carbonated either. With this carbonation system, we are able to use the 1L bottle to hold our drinks in and then carbonated them. You do have to purchase the carbonation cartridge separately, and they can be pricey, but it is worth having if you are looking to carbonate drinks. It's been easy to use and works well, and gives our drinks a different taste for sure. It also isn't too large and doesn't take up too much counter space either. I give it 4 stars and recommend it.
