I have a oily scalp and it helps clear the pores. But not exactly what you are looking for within the product. It does not stop a oily scalp, but it helps clear pores and remove dead skin to keep skin soft and smooth. Plus when I shave my head and face it helps the hair stand up better for a smoother shave as well. Hope this helps.
