I got this for my Neighbour, at 79 she is not as spritely as she used to be, but believe me, she will give you a slap if you aggravate her, LOL, she went to the big local town a short while ago to have her hair done and on the way out, she was accosted by a group of lads, they did not hurt her, but she felt threatened, I assume that were mucking about, but did not realise that they were upsetting her and caused her great distress, well, thats what i would like to think.So, when I saw this I had no hesitation to get this for her, she has not tried the spray, and I really hope that it does what it is supposed to do, but the alarm, jeez..... I was still hearing it about three hours later. LOL....Both are very compact and will easily fit into a small bag, or your pocket, without being overly oversized, they are both able to be attached to your keys, as they have clips on both, so again, easily located in your bag or pocket, The spray bottle is small, so not likely to last a huge amount of time, but as long as it is just long enough to get to safety, or summon some assistance, that is all you need.The price of less than a tenner for the pair, at the time of writing this review is in my opinion a very good price, the alarm is very effective of deterring anyone, as it is just so loud, that even through double glazing it can easily be heard, but if you just want to try it, have some ear phones in, or cotton wool, as it really is loud.I can wholeheartedly recommend the alarm, and would say that the price is ok just for that, the spray has not been used, and hopefully the need to use it will never be needed, but it is there, and the thought that it is there, gives some peace of mind.

The media could not be loaded. I'm probably the only person to actually use this to see what it's really like, and review it.The red locking flap is very poor, it doesn't lock in either position(Closed/locked Position and Ready For Use Position), more so it just flip flops around and could go off accidently quite easily.The red dye real world spray distance is about 4-5ft if your aiming it at an attackers face, and you get roughly 3 seconds of use before the dye runs out.I got some of this red dye on my hands from the video demonstration and surprisingly it just washed off with soap and a flannel leaving clean hands again. It's just like red food dye in a spray.The key ring alarm i did find to be very good, it comes with a battery and is very loud and would be a much better deterrent than trying to use the spray. It's large enough to hold in your hand and not cover up the speaker ports, which is much better than the small ones that can easily be muffled.

Not used it in anger. Dyes someone red. Should be long lasting so the attacker remains red until the police find them (hopefully it’s months then!)Good price, decent value for money.It’s small. So easy to carry. Simple to use, point and press (then run)

This is a different version of the 40ml larger spray from Safestride to the other they sell, this one has the Red flip sideways safety lock, which we prefer.I would prefer if the cans were something like bright Red colour to give more visual deterrent, like the impression it may be something more substantial than just dye. But I guess its also trying to be discreet too so I get it.Obviously I can't actually test it, as once fired its useless and I didn't get it to waste. Lets hope its never needed. It can be carried as the can or fitted in the keychain sleeve supplied.The additional electronic personal attack alarm is middling in my assessment, it feels reasonably robust and comes with batteries in, ready to go. Simply pull the pin. Its 'fairly' loud but to me more of an annoyance or maybe attract some attention, than a panic inducing deterrent. There is a little Red LED that is of little consequence, there are no bright strobe lights to help you be located in the dark.From the price difference from the spray alone, the cost of the alarm is £6 which is easily matched for a basic alarm elsewhere.As a basic safety pack its not bad for just under £14.
