I was starting to get soreness in my tailbone area after sitting for long hours on my sofa while reading. I'm also recuperating from surgery so I needed something soft but also had support as well. This gel cushion is perfect. I also didn't want a thick car seat feel on my sofa that it would make indentations. It s great cause I'm sinking into it and my back bone and buttucks feels great after almost all day on couch. I can't say it'll be good for hard surfaces though on that note. It's also slip resistant with the little beaded padding underneath so it stayed in place all day. Now I don't dread my reading couch time! Love it!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Amazingly comfortable, well built, has a good honeycomb design and distributes weight very well. I’ve bought 3 (car, office, home) because this has helped my circulation and leg pain considerably. I nightly, highly recommend.

Comfy cushion but very hard to carry around. Wish it had a fold up handle

I am old and driving long distances began to create a certain numbness and pain in my derriere. I tried several cushions to alleviate the problem. I even cut up a 3" gel mattress and made a thick cushion. All of the items I tried helped but this one is the best. I was surprised that a cushion so thin by comparison would work better than the thicker ones but it does. The cover on mine is wearing out but the cushion is still good.

Just received, so it's too early to comment on durability, but first impressions are:A. The size is incorrect. It's stated as 18.9"X17.7", but the one I received is 17.5" square. Not a deal-breaker for me, but not as advertised. Be advised.B. The gel grid is way too soft to provide proper cushioning on a hard surface like a metal or wooden chair seat or bench. It bottoms out easily under my 150lbs/68kg on those surfaces. I have a couple of Purple Mattresses at home that I love, and collapsing gel columns work fantastically if designed properly for the weight you have to support. These are just too soft to do the job properly.I'd say it's best used on top of a firm, but already cushioned surface to add a bit more cushioning. It works well enough in a mesh office chair, and would probably work well in a fabric camp/stadium chair also. Just don't expect it to hold you up on a hard surface.

My butt is so happy with this cushion. I have a really old office chair I picked up from a previous employer and after an hour I have to stand up and/or reposition myself because of the pressure points on my backside. I have been using this seat improvement and it is so much more comfortable. It provides great support while not being overly thick. Some cushions will raise you up considerably and you'd have to adjust the chair down.

I have lost so much weight that I developed a pressure sore. Very small but painful. As part of my treatment I needed to be sure I shifted my position often. The most helpful item I found were these cellular jell pads. The helped me to shift positions easily that I healed very rapidly. Highly recommend.

This gel seat is amazing. I'm 70 and need a bit more cushion when I sit. This product is perfect.
