OX TOOLS Pro Series Brick Carrier - 15.75" to 19.5" | OX Grip Handle

I bought this ‘tong’ for the sole purpose of moving 16” concrete pavers from an ill-designed and poorly-draining fairly small patio. It fits (out of the box/with no adjustment needed) 16” square pavers. For various reasons, the patio included a couple of dozen bricks. Again, without adjustment, these tongs easily and securely clamped onto 6 bricks at a time. It is extremely well-made; so much so that I am rethinking the design of a side-yard path so that 16” pavers can be used. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

I bought this tool as a home owner who is replacing 140 worn out patio pavers with new ones. Each paver is 16" x 16" x 2" thick, weighs 40lbs. This tool enables me to lift each paver easily with one hand, with a very secure grip. Halfway through the project now, and not one paver has come loose from the secure grip of this tool. I can't imagine doing this job without this tool. Worth every cent.

Used for laying large paver blocks. Worked perfectly even though it was not designed for that use.

Very rugged construction. I liked the 100 pound rating. Being in my eighties, I was having trouble lifting and placing solid cement blocks. The problem being there are no holes in solid cement blocks for a firm handhold. Adding to my woes, I now have difficulty bending down to the ground to pick things up. The actual length of a 16" long solid concrete block is 15.625, a bit too short for this tool. Yes, it grabbed the concrete block, but it felt that I might just drop the heavy block (72 pounds) on my foot. I attached a 1/4" thick rubber pad to each end of of the tool using supper glue to make up for slightly undersized cement blocks. My idea worked better than one could have ever imagine and one could still use the tool for its original purpose of carrying bricks. Really a great and well made tool.

Using these brick tongs, I was able to install approximately 4.25 tons of retaining wall blocks over three weekends by myself. Not a single block or cap stone slipped from the firm grip of this tool. I was able to lift every block in and out of position straight and balanced, and with minimal strain on my back. This is a wonderful lifting tool for handling and moving large blocks.

First and foremost about this review this would have got an absolutely perfect five star review from me as a brick labor but a lot of the companies use 10 modular brick long per ton this only fits eight sadly.. Description of the picture to the left on the bottom of the tongs are two queen brick to the right bottom of the tongues are two modular brick They're strong they're durable and you won't have to worry about any brick bending I just wish they were a little bit longer

I'm doing some 16"x16" paver project for my backyard and looking for a tools for heavy lifting. Saw a lot from Amazon, but because of too many bad reviews of some other brands, I'm hesitant of of buying this at first. I filed an order cancellation but its too late as its prep for shipping from UK. When it arrived I tested and I was impressed how easy to cary 16" paver. I got wrist injured both hands(carpal tunnel) and this tools makes my work easier. I will not return it but instead keep it for my Next project.
