SimPure Q3-600A Reverse Osmosis System with Remineralization, 600 GPD Under Sink RO Water Filtration with ALK Faucet, 8 Stage Tankless RO Water Filter, PH+, Acid-Base Balance, NSF/ANSI 58 Certified

I have previously owned for many years an older-style Reverse Osmosis system that was pressurized by our city water supply. It had the traditional, old-style 5 gallon tank that took up a lot of space under our kitchen sink. And, there were a lot of hoses run for all the connections to the filters, tank, supply, etc. What a difference a decade or two of technology has made ... This SimPure Reverse Osmosis system is fantastic - especially in comparison to our old system! The connection is much cleaner and simpler. If you don't need to run an RO line to your refrigerator, all you need is this system. Just tap off your kitchen cold water supply with the included T-connector, run the RO water to the included brushed-nickel faucet, and run the waste line to a drain connection. Once the SimPure water pump kicks in, we get a continuous stream of RO water, without ever having to worry about running out because the 5 gallon tank ran low. Additionally, since the SimPure is pressurized by the higher pressure internal water pump, there is much less waste water generated. The pump is pretty quiet overall, but loud enough that you know when it is running. The TDS meter display on the front is a nice touch - I have compared it to my manual TDS meter, and the SimPure is always withing +/- 2 ppm of my other meter. Overall, this is a great unit and an excellent design. It uses high-quality parts, and works much better than our old system. We couldn't be much happier. HANDY TIPS: While the SimPure includes a saddle valve for connecting your waste line to your drain, a much easier and cleaner solution (if you can do it) is to run the RO waste line tube down an existing air gap drain pipe under your sink, if you have one already installed. Also, if you plan on running the RO to your refrigerator for a refrigerator cold water dispenser, you can eliminate the need for installing the RO faucet and a 5 gallon reservoir tank under your sink by using the refrigerator water dispenser instead of using the included RO faucet.

Here in Tucson the water taste is simply terrible. I had a whole house Culligan filtration system installed and it helped a lot with the smell and crap floating around in the water, but it didn't improve the taste. I purchased the Q3-600 to have at least one tap in the house that could produce drinkable water. Installation was simple, most people with a few hand tools and no plumbing experience should be to complete the installation in a couple of hours. The supply line valve that came with the kit allowed a small amount of water to leak out under the sink, perhaps because I over tightened it. I contacted support and they immediately mailed me a replacement valve free of charge. The quality of the water surpassed my expectations! In my opinion, it tastes better than the water that comes out of plastic bottles and is a huge improvement over the filtered water from my whole-house unit. The water is free of odor and has no solids floating around in it.

I got it all installed without having a meltdown and it doesn't leak! Water particulates went from 600 down to 40! As others have said it's pretty easy getting it setup, but challenging just getting my fat butt under the sink to hook it up! The pump is pretty quiet in my setup and after running it for a bit the washer came out tasting great!

Wasn’t too hard to install. Took me 45 minutes. Flow rate is about 10-12 minutes for 5 gallons in my humidifier. This isn’t me calculating gpm flow rate, but just timing my fill ups with a stop watch. Wish it was a little faster on the pump. Takes about 12-15 seconds to fill a 16oz glass. Much faster than the fridge. It’s not loud at all. You can hear it, but it’s not loud. I barely notice it. Very small. Is about the size of two cereal boxes. I wish the whole thing was 1/4 OD tubing for ease of installation and adding on. I can’t complain. It’s working very well and the GPM still great compared to other products for this price. Would 9/10 recommend. The 9 because of tubing size. Wonderful product.

I love this RO with alkalizer cartridge on the spigot. Great tasting water and ice. Does make a noise when the pump runs but that’s minor. Highly recommend b

UPDATE 05.24.2024 We were finally able to determine why the outlet under the sink would not work with this unit. It turns out that the reason the unit (or anything else, for that matter) does not work in the outlet under the sink, is because that empty socket on the outlet is controlled by the same switch that turns the disposal on and off. When the disposal is off, both sockets on the outlet are turned off as well. If your outlet wiring is accessible and depending on how it is wired, you may be able to reconfigure the wiring to make the empty socket always live. Otherwise, you will need access to an always on outlet, if you want to used an electric power RO machine. PS: The seller said they are going to update their promotional material to warn other unsuspecting potential buyers, so they won’t unknowingly fall into the same problem. =================================================================================== We bought this unit after much research, hoping for the best. We installed the unit and plugged it in as directed. Nothing. No lights. No sound. Nothing. Turned on the disposal to make sure the outlet was still working. Tried the unit again. Still nothing. Contacted the seller. She directed me to plug my cellphone charger into the outlet under the sink to see if it would work. I did and the charger did not come on. She said that is because the outlet under the sink is for disposals and dishwashers only. I told her, that would have been a very valuable piece of information to know before we bought the unit and went through all the hassle of installing it. She apologized. Fortunately for us, we are still within the dreaded Amazon 30-day window. So, we will be uninstalling the unit and returning it to Amazon. You have been warned.
