This item's great for top coating non waterproof mascara. I like that it's clear, and therefore goes with everything. My only issue is that the container is so small

Love thatI can put this on without mascara for a quick trip to the store. It's perfect for putting over your mascara.So it doesn't run, or give you dark circles. Perfect for the no makeup look.

This is a great top coat or when I don't feel like wearing mascara. I've tried lots of waterproof top coats and this is the best one. I have it 4 stars because I would like it to hold my lashes up just a little longer. They droop slightly after a about an hour so I have to make sure I use my eyes lash curker and curl my eyelashes straight up.

I *had* been using NYX waterproofing topcoat over my Thrive Causmetics mascara. I like Thrive for my top lashes, but the bottom lashes flake and sometimes smudge like mad if I don’t use a top coat (I think it must be my eye shape? It’s always been an issue for me). I’m also a super-sweater when I exercise, so then it’s *all* a mudslide. NYX had been discontinued for quite a while now, my collected back-stock depleted, so I’m on at least my 4th or 5th tube of Mommy Makeup topcoat. The product is difficult to get evenly applied on my lashes. Post-workout and mid-workday, black flakes let me know when I’ve missed spots (even though I swipe, roll, and drag the applicator over all lashes, front and back sometimes to the point that my base mascara is removed…SIGH).FYI, they’ve now re-packaged to a solid black tube, so you can’t see the paste color turn as your black mascara mixes into the product from the brush. I’m not sure if they also reformulated, but this newest tube has not worked well for me AT ALL. I have a really difficult time applying thoroughly, despite my best efforts. It often looks like the paste isn’t on the brush at all, like it only collects on the very tip. So frustrating.It’s a pickle because Thrive makes my lashes look better than any mascara I’ve found (I’ve continued the search, wasted SO much money). Waterproof mascaras give my eyes a sensitivity reaction (cysts on my eyelids), and I can’t find any alternatives to this. For now, I keep purchasing, even though the results are “meh.”*edited as of 2/2023. I’ve cancelled my subscription, and changed stars from 3 to 1. It just doesn’t work. I do think they reformulated, as my old tubes (old packaging) work better than new tubes. But alas, they are too old to keep using safely.

Years ago I wore a lash shield from Bare Minerals and it worked great for watery eyes and worked for over 16 hours of sweating. This one does not last a basic 12 hour shift without getting gunk in the corner of my eyes within 6 hours of my shift. It also makes my mascara clump on my eyelashes after I put it on. Wish there was a product like the Bare Minerals one but can not seem to find anything else that works over my mascaras.

I have monolids and for the last few years NO mascara will stay put. It smudges absolutely everywhere. As a result I tried absolutely every waterproof mascara. None resisted smudging. I gave up and stopped wearing it altogether. It was such a bummer because makeup makes me feel happy. After searching Amazon on a whim I found this product and took an $18 gamble. I am SO glad I did. Finally I can wear mascara again!!! I first tried it over Loreal telescopic not a smudge!(then essence,benefit,cover girl and milk). I sweat all day in 100 +° F, heat and it looked fresh and perfect until I removed it that night. What's more it kept my lashes curled and lifted all day! My lashes felt soft and lush after removing with regular micellar water. I am so happy and pray this product is never discontinued!!! Thank you Mommy Makeup!!!

I have been using this product for years. It is excellent but the dispenser is an issue. The old dispenser had too short of a brush for the depth of the container. Left a lot of unused product. The new dispenser has a nice long brush but the opening of the container is too tight and not enough product gets on the brush. Really need to get this right!
