Toledo Pipe 300 15682 Complete Pipe Threading Machine, 38 RPM, Aftermarket 811A fits RIDGID 300 T2 418 with Accessory Kit

Liked: Very fast shipping and company coordinated it. Was delivered days before predicted from Toledo and delivery company in my area went out of way to protect the excellent boxed shipment which was on pallet with plastic wrap. Took only conventional allen wrench set and adjustable wrench to assemble in 5 minutes. Honestly it took longer to open wooden shipping box than to assemble.Cut excellent threads with shipped 1-2" heads. Have not bothered with other set yet. Threaded 9 ends with clean cuts once I got the die mark for 1 1/4". As expected the 1 1/4" mark was great idea to start to find the real mark which I made.To be worked: Die Head lock interferes with reamer swing requiring unlock every time using reamer (I suppose I could move die head out every time little but I am lazy). The electric plug entry into drive head is cheap junk that came loose. I will put a Romex connector in or something when I have to pull it apart or replace cord. Noticed I had to check pipe aligned in chuck jaws (This would be expected, If person threading pipe didn't check such things they should just stay home and drink questionable liquids). Although I have only had for about an hour since returning from work, I have 9 good cut ends after assembly and the unit is already setting in work truck for use on jobsite. I gave 5 Star because I believe all aspects I saw which were not perfect are acceptable by my view of pricepoint and the compact nature of unit.

Unfortunately the threader was returned due to uneven threading caused by a wobble in the drive shaft or head defect. Flat spots were left in the pipe being threaded. The thickness gaugewas also inaccurate and the Rigid 811a head described within the specifications was not sent and instead a generic cutter head was substituted.
