This lid works great on my extra large, big green egg. I like that when I set the Daisy wheel, it does not change when I open and shut the door. I also like that I can leave it on the egg all the time and no longer need the ceramic topper. So far, I don’t see any rust anywhere on it and it has been on for several months. It’s easy to use and doesn’t leak the smoke.

The daisywheel allows temp control at low smoking temps 250 to 300 much better than the stock cap.

Terrible quality. First of all, it is too large for the BGE chimney, so it will fall off if you don’t install a couple pieces of gasket to secure it. Secondly, it’s showing areas of rust after being installed for only 4 days and NEVER cooked on. Terrible quality. Do not purchase. Absolute ripoff for the price. See photos. I bought this cover to retrofit my 60 year old Kamado. The original ceramic cover fell off and cracked into several pieces. This cast-iron cover, to replace my original cover, is heavy duty and has several useful features. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't fit properly and a little tight fitting onto the opening of my Kamado. As a result, it doesn't sit all the way down onto the top of the Kamado lid. I may decide to sand down the Kamado lip opening a little to see if I can have the product sit better. For now, it will immediately still serve my needs and purposes under this condition.

This cap works perfectly as a replacement for the chimney cap for the Green Egg Grill for a much lower price. The only thing missing is the stamp identifying it as a Green Egg part.

This seems like an unfair review given what I was looking for but I thought I'd put it in here for future customers as well as for KAMaster. The only reason I was looking for a new Big Green Egg cap was to retrofit a recent gift: the Smobot. Unfortunately, the Smobot won't work with the newer cap (rEGGulator) and they actually do have their own custom cap but they are sold out with zero insight on when it will be available. So, as impatient as I am, I decided to find alternatives. I did consider buying a used daisy wheel (which I've since done), but this product appealed to me given the 3 in 1 element. Unfortunately the location of the screw and the location of the back base for the rain cover will not allow a Smobot to attach. If KAMaster can put a second hole closer to the back towards the rain cover base, then Smobot would work...having both holes available, just plugged up, would be a nice touch. Anyway, not faulting KAMaster here...it seemed like a very sturdy product...just didn't do what I needed it to do.
