Strong metal, doesnt tear, holds great!
I used these 4080 T Slot Aluminum Extrusions to build a custom frame for my monitor setup, and they worked brilliantly! The 1000mm length was perfect for accommodating multiple monitors, and the solid construction offered excellent stability, which is exactly what I needed for a reliable, wobble-free setup. The black finish not only looks sleek but also adds a professional touch to the entire frame. The slots made it easy to position and secure brackets and accessories, allowing for a versatile, adjustable layout. Overall, these extrusions are ideal for DIY monitor frames or other high-load applications. Highly recommend! Each monitor is about 5-7 pounds.

Very rigid
I used these to add onto my sim racing rig. The space in the grooves is somewhat larger than my rig, but easily worked with. Very sturdy and rigid and perfect if you just need a couple pieces to add on.

Loose T-slots. Otherwise good.
The T slot channels are deeper than the ones on the aluminum that came with my Simlab P1x - apparently due in large part to significantly less metal per cross section than the Simlab parts. As reported above by others, this means a lot of extra slop for your T nuts. If you have the roll in type with the spring loaded balls, they'll just flop around until (if) you manage to get a screw threaded into them. They will still work for my purpose. Less metal means these are lighter, so that could be a plus instead of a minus depending on your use.The packaging was fine on mine - better than I expected and the rails arrived undamaged.

Recommend size
Using as rails for DIY MFT with Dashboard Guide Rail Brackets. Brackets fit nicely. Drilled access holes to mount cross bars (2060 profiles) and legs (4040). Stretchers at top (2020 four sides) and bottom (2020 three sides) of legs for stability.
