Great gun for the price.
Great gun. It works. It’s made out of some sort of metal. Feel nice and heavy when you hold it. Shoots well and accurate even from a far away range. Definitely a keeper and a nice little bb gun for outdoor use.

Real look and feel
Excellent weapon. Right out of the plastic blister container I was impressed with the very accurate look, weight size and feel of a true Colt defender. Ease of loading the built in mag-rail and CO2 slot with the grips slid aft. Pressing the true weapon mag release button releases the grips to slide open, snap closed with a solid lock. Safety is accurate to the real weapon and quickly snaps fwd or aft. From the moment I commenced firing at the box it was shipped in, I knew I was having too much fun. 16 BBs gone in (way less than) 60 seconds….grouping on a duct tape center hole sharpie circle at 10 feet was all in, first time out. As far as varmint dispatching, the plastic trash can behind the target had several holes from the 10’ range. Here in S FL there are numerous threats to my hunting dog, most notable are cane toads which secrete a fatal poison from their skin. 3 shots at close range made short work of a large one this morning. We also have large swamp rats that I haven’t tested yet but will I’m sure soon enough. Water moccasins are another threat and the quiet nature of this pistol makes it perfect for these backyard pests. Overall I’m very pleased and look forward to putting a lot of BBs down range.Highly recommended!RR

Super Cool Plinker
Bought as a gift for my FIL. He loves it. He had a few air guns back in the early 90s. Tech is pretty much the same, they've just streamlined a few things and the copies of all the real platforms out there is super neat. Scored this one just based on reviews, and it has been worth it. He shoots it everyday. He loves to pop cans and crap in the back yard. They have a gigantic property. Can't beat it for the price. Toss in some bbs and a box of cans, fun for days! Be careful, you'll shoot your eye out, kid!

Great pistol, minor issues with magazine feed
I bought this pistol as a gift for my girlfriend; while we both have a fair bit of shooting experience, this is both of our first forays into CO2 guns. We shot around 150 Crosman Copperhead BBs through it this evening. The pistol has decent velocity and power, and easily shatters beer bottles with one or two shots. We did not do intensive accuracy testing, but it seems to be very workable out to about 20 yards. One thing you will immediately notice is the weight. At 1.6lbs, this pistol is very close in weight to an unloaded Defender firearm. Accordingly, it is useful for training purposes.Fit and finish are quite nice. The aluminum sticker covering the faux ejection port is a bit tacky-looking, but a dab of paint will work pretty well if/when that wears off.My main issue with this pistol lies with its feeding issues. BBs in the magazine are prone to sticking together even when the follower is pulled down, and not chambering properly. Usually, this jam can be cleared by popping the grips and cycling the follower, being careful not to let it slam into loaded BBs, but sometimes fiddling is required. As stated before, we were shooting Crosman Copperheads. Some powdery copper residue was flaking off of the BBs, and coating the magazine well. I am wondering if this is the cause of the feed failures, and will experiment with non-coated BBs and lubrication of the magazine. If these BBs are the problem, I will update my review with my findings on ensuring reliable function. One last point: at anything other than very close range, this pistol is indistinguishable from a firearm. For purposes of transporting and carrying, *please* treat it as a real firearm- any police officer or responsibly-armed citizen will assume it is a firearm and will act accordingly.UPDATE 4/26/2015: I thoroughly washed and soaked the copper BBs to eliminate excess copper dust in order to reduce fouling. I also applied a light coat of Pellgunoil to the internal magazine channel, then wiped off any excess by running cloth through the magazine. This drastically reduced fail-to-feed malfunctions and the pistol is now quite reliable. It may be possible to do an end-run around this issue by using non-coated BBs.

Awsome Pistol for an Awesome Price
This review was taken from my review on AirgunDepot's website-I had bought this gun from a local retailer about 6 months ago, and while I absolutely loved the gun, at the time I needed the extra money for myself. I ended up returning the gun. This week I decided to reorder the Colt Defender after receiving a gift card for Christmas.I love this gun... Period, and of course I recommend it, so lets just go into the pros and cons of the gun itself.Pros:>Heavy and Realistic Feeling- The feeling of holding this gun is just breathtaking. The whole gun is constructed of metal (the grips are made of high quality plastic), and it weighs about 1.7 pounds and feels great to wield. This gun actually weighs nearly as much as the real Defender.>Looks- Everything about this gun mimics the real Defender. The only things missing are the signature Hogue grips and the Single-Action trigger, but I find that Double-Action is a bit better than Single-Action anyway.>Accuracy- Because there is no Blowback involved, the accuracy is great. 1-2 inch groups every time. The front sight also has a white dot painted on for target acquisition.>C02 Consumption and Velocity- I can get in between 80-100 shots off a single C02 canister. The velocity tops off at around 440-475 FPS, which means that the gun "COULD" be used for basic defense.>Holster Compatibility- Due to the realism, this gun fits all standard holsters, as well as concealed carry ones.CONS:>The only con I have for this gun is the built in 16-shot magazine. Although it would alter the design a bit, the addition of removable mags would make for easier reloads.
