Correct. The "two pack" contains two systems for 2 bikes. IMO a bargain!

Q: Who is that guy in the video at 0:13 to :15 and why does he have a psychotic grin on his face?

Q: How easy is it to pull the rope / lift an average bike? Would a typical 12 year old be able to lift his mountain bike? What about a 9 year old boy?

I think a 12 year old could be big enough but the younger one may not. Depends on how big they are. It does take little effort for me but I'm 6' 1", 220 lbs. I would imagine that someone weighing 100 lbs. might have more trouble.

Q: Has anyone ever used these for Kayak hoists? We have 2 Kayaks and these look like they would work fine.

I bought this set for my 10" kayaks. They each weigh 48 pounds plus the stuff I put inside. I guess the total is about 60 pounds each. They lift OK but not evenly. I lift a little, then push down on one end to even it out, lift a little more, etc.. until they are hoisted all the way up. They come down pretty good. Once hoisted they hold the weight fine. We had to make a couple straps for the kayaks though. Hoists made for kayaks generally come with them.
