Q: What is the best way to season the wok?

A good scrub with hot water to remove the protective covering. Coat the surface with oil. Heat until the oil is smoking hot, keep the heat on for a few minutes. Turn off heat , allow wok to cool naturally. Repeat process. Best wok we have ever had, indestructible . A little heavy. Wash out with v hot water after use. Never any soap. If any scouring is needed we use coarse salt. oil lightly. Good luck Nick

As with all oils there will be a film. This wok has to be seasoned with very hot oil to create a film or coating. Without a coating it will rust over within hours. We use very little oil or Frylight ,cook at high temperature, with food cut small, regular small dashes of water prohibit sticking and create steam which retains moisture and speeds cooking. This wok is the best we have ever had. Only minus it is heavier than most. Kind Regards Nick
