Good pool pump timer with the required capacity for 3/4 HP pump motor.

The media could not be loaded.  I have had this timer for about ayear now and have had no issues at all. I am running the Doheny's Above Ground Pool Pro Swimming Pool Pump | Above Ground 1.5 HP Pool Pump, 115V, 83 GPM. I run mine for 8 hours every single day and so far so good.

I intended to use this for a fountain pump. It will shut the fountain off at the intended time but will not turn it back on. It gets stuck at the "On" time position and will not advance and turn the pump on. Unfortunately, I missed my return window due to weather delaying my spring start-up. If you buy this, keep the box and make sure it works as soon as you get it.

This timer works great. I use from Spring to winter to control an outdoor fountain. Then in Dec thru mid Jan I use it to control outside holiday decorations. Sometimes I also use in Fall for holloween decoration lighting.I replaced the same model after about 16 yrs of daily use when I began to have difficulty with the on off feature but after 16 plus years of constant usage I am more then satisfied. Nothing last forever.I was happy to find this item on line because I could no longer find it in any home improvement or hardware store. You know how that goes, if the area service rep thinks it does not move they take it off the shelf..I had the same problem finding Intermatic timer that wire into switch box because the big home improvement stores also stopped stocking it and told me it was not available. Found the product to be readily available on line and bought several so I will have on hand when needed.

I gave this a 4 Star rating only because the first shipment arrived with a damaged timer. But that was not Amazon's fault. It appeared to be that way from the factory since the packaging was completely intact and the item did not look to be something that was returned by some previous customer.Product reviewSuper simple and easy to setup uses. Uses all standard plugs which makes it very easy to hookup. I had to mount it outside on a brick wall so other than my cordless drill, a masonry drill bit and concrete anchor screw, it was a cinch. It only has a single mounting hook on the back top which makes it a bit wobbly on the wall so Intermatic should really design it with two mounting points. There is a lower mounting point as well but it's blocked partially so it's just not a good design. However, that's a minor detail as the unit performs as stated. As far as all the low ratings due to "melted plugs" I have not had that and it makes me wonder if those seeing that did not heed the current/power rating for the unit. The unit can only handle 15A max at full motor load (when running a pool or fountain pump). If your pump draws more than 15A during normal steady-state operation, then you CAN'T use this particular timer switch. If you don't understand what I'm saying, then you should call an electrician to do a proper hookup.Packaging/Customer Service -Amazon is AWESOME!!! As I stated in the beginning, the first unit came damaged. I immediately when online, filled out the return form for a replacement and sent back the old unit (did a UPS drop off at the UPS store in town). It was amazing in that I got the replacement unit less than 24Hrs later!!! Now I realize that Amazon can do that kind of turn-around if you happen to be close to one of their distribution centers, but it was so easy to return and get the replacement that Amazon has my full appreciation.

Didn’t work out of the box the red and green on off clips didn’t reach the timer sprocket so it didn't trigger the timer. Looked heavy duty but the mechanism is cheaply made. Don’t buy vuy this product. Wase of money.

I used this for my pool pump and it would shut the pool off but able to turn it back on .Bought it early in the year and when i tried it didn't work .Like I said don't waste your money.
