A surprisingly useful item.
Uncertain about the split device idea at first, but I love this now! The digital readout has built in magnets and it fits perfectly on the stove hood, so I can keep the base on the counter with the measured object on it while reading the weight above. Conventional scales might have the readout covered by a plate. Not this one! Recommend it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Absolutely love! I wasn't too sure how it would be because the pieces are separated but I'm so glad I purchased it. EVERYONE NEEDS ONE FOR THEY'RE KITCHEN!!

Most importantly, EASY to read!!! Accurate, easy to clean!
With the first scale I bought (nice scale), it was impossible to see the weight readout along the front of the scale because any bowl larger than a cereal bowl covered the screen. The separate, Bluetooth connected, display screen on this unit connects automatically to the base, and the numbers are large and backlit (great since I'm sliding into 70). Set the scale readout anywhere that's convenient!! Easy to clean, and when I tested it with my 200 gm. test weight, it was dead-on accurate!! Unlike the experience of a lot of the other reviewers, my unit DID come with batteries!!

Great little scale for the price
The scale and display works exactly as described. The devices pair automatically and will power-off after about 90 seconds of non-use.The reason I'm giving only four stars is that you have to turn on the components individually. To be fair, this requirement was mentioned in the description, it's just a little annoying in practice.

I love this thing. For years I have struggled to read the output on food scales when weighing a plate of foods. With this one I can put the scale on the table and the readout on the counter where it is clearly visible. Brilliant!
