Great detergent for synthetics and more
I love this detergent. It's not my primary detergent, but I use it for specific things. If you have any sports fabric items such as yoga pants or golf shirts that tend to hang onto workout smells, this will remove them, not just cover the smell with perfume. It also works on regular cotton fabrics. Great for getting that weird linen closet smell out of your sheets. I also use it on bras and other underwear. It removes all odor and doesn't irritate the skin.

Love it
I only needed to do one load with this detergent to know that I'm going to love it!!!I live in the south where the only thing my body does is 1 sweat buckets & make my clothes stink & 2 run it's mouth ... this laundry detergent fixed one problem & exacerbated the other. I love this stuff, I wish it came in bulk!!!

So much better than I dared to hope for
I'm still struggling to believe that there is a product on the market that actually does what it says, and more. But, every time I think this detergent has met it's match, it comes out on top. Un-friggin-believable!!!I'm a yoga teacher, and a personal trainer. I teach a lot of hot yoga, and live in Florida...a lot of sweat happens. I was tired of having to buy new activewear so incredibly frequently, so I took a chance on Hex and gave it a shot. So not sorry!!After a class, my clothes are so wet that you can wring the sweaty grossness out with the gentlest squeeze. I sometimes change outfits 5 times during a day. Since I'm working for 8 to 10hrs every day, the clothes sit in that grossness for hours before I even have the opportunity to get them into the laundry. Naturally, they get smelly, and I thought that was just the way things had to be because NO OTHER detergent, booster, or additive took care of the lingering smell, post wash and dry. I could maybe use a new shirt for a month before it became unbearable, and unwearable. No more!!Not only does this completely clean and refresh my workout gear same-day.....but, I tested it out on old workout gear that I thought was just permanently stinky and dead to me.....and, it completely took out all of the "whatever" that would cause it to stink the moment it was exposed to body heat. I have reclaimed literally thousands of dollar worth of workout gear that I love dearly. My new go-to detergent is Hex, for as long as the company exists, I will only use Hex for all of my tech fabrics and activewear - because it actually works. Like a dream. Seriously.I use Hex detergent and then any Citric acid based rinse (Downy Rinse & Refresh - which works great, although you can just make your own with citric acid powder.....so much better than vinegar with no pickly after-stink)Thank you Hex for saving my clothing!!

Works to remove odors from synthetic, but not a fan of the scent of the detergent
So I have been on a mission to find the best detergent to remove odors from synthetic fabrics- everything from performance undergarments and yoga pants to synthetic fiber “nice” clothes. They had two main issues- permastink in any clothes that I had been sweating in and deodorant/funk buildup in the armpits of nicer clothes. Regular detergent wasn’t cutting it. Neither was vinegar, baking soda, or borax- tried all of these with no significant improvement. Onto specialty detergents. I ordered 4 different kinds: HEX, Win sports detergent, oxy clean odor blaster (used with Tide pods), and Active wear powder. I used the minimum amount recommended, warm water, and didn’t soak anything, as I wanted to see if my “normal” laundry routine would work. I divided my laundry into 4 small loads, each containing different types of stinky clothes so I could compare. Oxyclean didn’t do anything, though it recommends soaking stinky stuff. I just don’t have 3 hours to soak laundry. Active wear worked well for sweat stinky clothes, but didn’t do well on the deodorant funk. Win was basically the same, though it says to double the amount for really stinky items. HEX, however, took out all smells first wash, with the regular amount of detergent. While it is the most expensive per ounce, it seems to be the most effective. The only thing I don’t like about it is the scent. It is VERY strong and not that pleasant. I will buy the unscented next time, which is supposedly the same cleaning formula, just no perfumes
