Chin-specific, and go very light on the ointment
I saved these until I had an outbreak that was sizable enough to warrant applying them, because I hadn't realized how large they would be. The patches are at least an inch and a half wide, which is really quite a lot of surface area on a person's face. But it's also worth knowing that they have a kidney bean like shape and seem to be specifically made for your chin. So if you try to apply them other places, especially highly contoured places like the side of your nose, it's probably just not going to stick well. They do have micro darts and they are fairly pronounced to compare compared to others I have tried, but it's not painful. There's also a gel/cream that comes with the patches in a little tube and it is apparently very easy to use too much of that, because once lubricated, the patches don't stick well at all. In fact, once I used it in what I thought was a very light amount, I couldn't get it to stay on my face, and had to use a piece of medical tape over top of it to get it to stay. So because these are so mission specific, limited to only one zone of the face, and because they're kind of expensive and large, they aren't as versatile as they could be. It seems like if you always have chin breakouts, these are for you. But if you get pimples in unpredictable places, or in places where you need a lot of flexibility or have facial contours, like between your eyes or on the side of your nose, you might need more conventional patches that bend and stick wherever you put them.

10/10 for cystic acne
A real lifesaver for my cystic acne!! I’ve used microdart patches in the past but it would take several days before any difference started showing. With these, the results were quite literally overnight. I’m repurchasing whenever I need to zap a cyst quickly, literally the best thing I’ve ever purchased for my skin!! Promise you the price is so worth the results

The Secret to Healing "Popped" Pimples Overnight
These extra-large patches are a fantastic way to target a cluster of breakouts. I’ve been using them on my chin, which is currently my main problem area. A quick tip: I suggest applying them after brushing and flossing, as excessive mouth movement can cause them to shift (just like any other patch in that area). These work best for me on spots that have already "popped" and are in the healing phase. In my experience, these are actually more effective than sulfur treatments for closing up a wound and preventing scabs. By the next morning, my redness has dramatically decreased. Just keep in mind that these are for healing, not for drawing out impurities—if you still have "gunk" to remove, stick with a hydrocolloid patch first, then switch to these to finish the job!

Great for stubborn breakouts but the price hurts a bit!
These are basically the EasyDerm Quick Calming patches I’ve used in the past but in a new XL size. Instead of a small circle for one blemish, these measure about 1.3” x 2.3”, big enough to cover a larger area like the chin or a small section of cheek. Same idea as the originals: hydrocolloid base with tiny magnesium micro-spicules to help treat deep, stubborn breakouts. Plus, each box contains a soothing Cica ampoule you can add to the center for extra calming. I’ve used their smaller patches for about a year, and I only pull them out for the blemishes that I know will be a pain to heal, like the ones that linger or feel sore deep under the skin. Now, these new XL ones work the same way, just with a bigger coverage area, so I’d reserve them for a cluster of breakouts or a stubborn zone that needs focused attention. The downside? The price. Each box has just 2 patches, so with 2 boxes you’re getting 4 total for $30. That’s $7.50 per patch. If you’re breaking out often, you could go through these in just a couple days, which isn’t cost-effective at all. I know these work and I like having them as a line of defense for when I’m struggling, but the price is hard to justify. If I do repurchase these, I’d most likely stick to the single patches because I don’t struggle often with clusters of bumps. So, the singles make most sense for my skin’s needs. Now, if price isn’t a concern and you need heavy-duty spot care for a larger area, these are fantastic. However, if you’re looking for an everyday pimple patch, you’ll blow through these far too quickly.

Effective
Honestly, I was ready for these to not work. Much to my surprise, they made my blemishes flat and less noticeable. Each set comes with the patches and a serum to put on the patches before sticking them to your face. The serum comes out way too fast, so just hover it over the patch and let the slightest amount get on. You don't want the serum to touch the adhesive part because it will not stick to your face. The patches have what looks like metal mesh on them. The larger patches are more uncomfortable, and it was too large to put on my chin (maybe I have a small chin?). The circle patches are much less noticeable when you wear them overnight. Some of the patches did come off by morning, with the chin one coming off first. Although effective, I don't think I'd get these again because the metal mesh feels hard and weird on my face.
