Trick Or Treat Studios Billy Puppet Prop

This Billy the Puppet prop is excellent, looks great, and offers excellent value for the price. A few years back, a wood replica exactly matching the construction of the movie prop was offered for sale in extremely small quantities and with a high price to match. For a full order of magnitude less money, this prop, though not wood and lacking a couple features of the more expensive model, looks almost as good. The face on this prop is made of rubber rather than wood, but it's well-painted and looks just about as good from even a couple feet away. Up close, one can certainly tell the difference but I still have no complaints about the appearance. While it's unfortunate that the mouth doesn't move on this puppet, such a feature undoubtedly would have made the product much more cost prohibitive, so this remains a high quality item for the budget-conscious. The puppet itself is fully poseable so you can pose the arms and legs however you want. The one thing I wished for that this product doesn't offer was fully poseable fingers. In this case, the hands are fixed in position. If you want to pose the puppet holding an item, therefore, you'll have to get a little creative (though it's certainly do-able). I can't say enough good about the quality of construction for the price. Right out of the box, he looked good. A couple little tweaks had him looking great. In particular, the hair required a bit of brushing and the lapel on his jacket required some gentle repositioning (ironing would have been best, though I feared damaging the prop, so I made do with some gentle coaxing back into position). If you don't want to do these minor caretaking duties, you'll still have a good prop, but I'd recommend taking the time to really make it shine.

Great prop for my collection! In case you're wondering, in a seated manner he fits halfway inside an Ikea Detolf. The top of the head will pretty much be up against the shelf above it though. Feet are a little difficult to position (not much stiffness) but you'll eventually get it.

Billy, Billy, Billy. What can I say...? I bit the bullet and FINALLY bought this as a Christmas gift for my Saw loving daughter who has had it on her list for a few years now. She was gobsmacked when she opened it! She is so delighted to have him on display in her room, he's a big boy, about 2 ft tall-ish when sitting, and has a lot of detail. He is lightweight, more so than I imagined. His shoes are sparkly! He survived one hell of a box ride, because when he arrived the box was badly damaged. Thankfully he wasn't injured in his journey, and now resides on a shelf next to the Saw DVD's. She loves it!

This is like the 11th day I have had my Billy puppet. I am in love with the size of it and the features. The suit is way too big though and the shoes are more slipper-like than in the movies, when in the movies they were plain toddler shoes. I was not satisfied with how his mouth was not a separate piece, so I took the liberty of making it one myself and he looks way better like that! I highly recommend this product and he is a great canvas for people who rehaul Trick or Treat Studios or Halloween props everywhere! I love this product overall and give a 4.5/10. I love how the spirals are on my Billy’s cheeks, I was worried at first, but they were so great!
