I ordered the new MagFlött VESA Mount V2 on 23 April 2025 and received it yesterday (24 April). This is an excellent way to fit an iPad Pro to a monitor arm or tripod. Extremely pleased so far. No unboxing video to show, but that part of the process was very pleasant. The packaging and presentation are all very nice, so if you're giving this as a gift, it will add to the unwrapping experience.The device itself is a well-tooled, elegant slab of metal with a soft, fine microfiber surface on the side facing your iPad. The back has a VESA mount with 8 holes/4 screws for mounting to a monitor arm. Putting them together could only be easier if someone else does it for you.The USB-C Ücable that come with the mount can be attached to the iPadPro directly when it is placed on the MagFlött, but the intended design is to attach it to the MagFlött itself. That will allow the iPad to charge "wirelessly" when placed on the device. Very nice! If your iPhone is in a suitable case (or careless), you could even charge it on the MagFlött (without the iPad on it, of course).I'm really looking forward to using this in my home studio setup. Having the iPad for reference next to my graphics monitor with the easy ability to simply pop it off and take with me... that's fantastic.I have a Magic Keyboard-compatible Pitaka case for my iPadPro. It's not <quite> as tight a magnetic grip as putting the iPad Pro directly on the MagFlött, but it's sturdy and seem reliable thus far. Curious kitty has not caused a catastrophe nosing around it. Make sure you place it solidly, and it should stay put. And with the Pitaka case on, the MagFlött still charges the iPad.Last thing I don't want to forget is that this mount will work with tripod connectors as well. So for field work or simply moving around your studio, it provides excellent mobility options.Overall, I have to give this product a 5-star rating. Well earned, all the way around.

I bought my 12.9" iPad about a year ago, and it's been collecting dust until lately. When I'm in the living room or the bedroom, I watch stuff on my TVs. At my desk, I rarely used Apple's Sidecar feature because it was too easy to knock my iPad over on my desk with the case protector that folds into a stand. I had to travel a lot in the last few months, and I fell in love with watching content on the iPad.After coming back, I saw this mount and realized it would give me the best of both worlds at my desk — and it does so perfectly. I don't have to worry about the iPad falling over as it's on a VESA stand, just like my external monitors. And I can use it in Sidecar mode or for regular iPad content — like having the news streaming or having something relaxing streaming, which is exactly what I'm doing in the photo.The magnetic force is pretty much spot on for what you'd want. It's just enough to keep the iPad tight to the point that I'd not worry about it falling over, even if I jostle the stand a lot. But it's not so strong that I can't remove the iPad. When you pull the iPad up from the bottom, you get leverage. And I've put my iPad on and off the mount several times, and there's no scratching. The soft backing does what it's supposed to do.Great product and an easy 5 star from me.One side note that has nothing to do with the product itself: I got a VESA arm mount for this, but I wish I'd gotten a stand with easy height adjustments. You can see why in the picture. I'd prefer the setup be a few inches lower, but a lot of arm stands use monitors as counterweights. iPads are just too light for that to work.

The media could not be loaded. This mount was exactly what I was looking for, with the added bonus of charging. I use my iPad as another screen mounted on top of my monitors, but I had some old clasp mount that needed to be pulled apart to put on and take off the iPad. This mount is a super strong magnet that I can easily pop off, and allows me to keep my Apple Pencil on top of it as well. And i can hide the cable behind it because I don’t have to plug in my iPad to charge it. Because it’s got the 1/4” adapter, I didn’t have to get a separate VESA arm, but can be used with VESA mounts as well.It can rotate fully to support either portrait or landscape as well. I’m using a light arm to support it, and it’s super sturdy. The cable it comes with is also a great cable.

The media could not be loaded. I've had the v1 (a great product in its own right) since the Kickstarter campaign and have been anxiously awaiting the v2. I received it earlier this week, and it's been worth the wait. I have a 13" and 12.9" iPad Pro, and it works perfectly with both. Adding the accessory connector is a huge plus, making it super easy to swap between them. The larger size over the v1 makes it even more stable and easier to adjust without accidentally popping the iPad off the mount. Another great product from Charjen.
