I used to slam for magnification and light for needle work. It’s a great lamp. It’s bright, and the light is very clear but not too too bright. The magnifier is excellent, very good quality. My only negative comment would be that the base is very heavy, which is a good thing, but you have to be careful when moving the top part of the light back-and-forth that it doesn’t come loose or unbalanced the base. I would say this is a good lamp, very good value. I highly recommend all the bright tech products I have. I have two of the clamp on magnifying lamps as well, and they are very good.

I have now purchased 2 of these lights/magnifiers. One for me and one for a friend. If you do needle work, puzzles, or manicures, this is just the best thing to have. I find it is particularly useful as I like to do my needlework while watching the TV with my family. They like to watch TV with the lights lowered and I can still be near them and do my needlework/nails/puzzles without glaring them out! Love this lamp! The first one I ordered I have had for 4 or 5 years now and it has not let me down. The most recent one is only a few months old and although the box was damaged in shipping, the product was packed well enough to have survived without a blemish. Good produce, good value.

I do love the brightness of the lamp part. It has a gooseneck which is very strong & a little hard to manipulate. Base is very solid to point where it is heavy to move. The magnifier is very strong & takes awhile to position to get the maximum benefit.

So far I am loving this lamp. It’s very sturdy with a heavy base. The lighted magnifier is perfect for working on my cross stitch pattern.
