Yes definitely, I’ve done it! You just have to double check it’s on correctly when unfolding it & setting it back up.

Are the liners absorbant?

You can use whatever liners you choose. I have not had an issue and I usually use a “pet liner” underneath when used in the car. My nearly five year old granddaughter has pretty much outgrown it but, it was worth having so she didn’t have to use a public bathroom, (my minivan has the middle seat down so there’s plenty of room and privacy windows). It was a great comfort during her younger years. Only used for an emergency.
