SIMPLY AMAZING!
Five stars. I have a skylight in a cathedral ceiling fifteen feet up and attempting to open and close the shade is a joke. This new solution is amazing. They will ship whichever measurements you provide, so I recommend measuring 5+ times and being as close as possible to avoid fitment issues or gaps.Be sure to assemble and TEST the unit BEFORE attempting installation!!!! I thoroughly tested every aspect of this shade prior to installation. Walk yourself through the installation steps in a test setting. You certainly do not want to be up on a ladder trying to "figure it out".I found the installation instructions and videos very clear. Reviews here also helped a lot.Being fifteen feet in the sky I went with the solar panel unit. Again, TEST before installation. I had zero issues with testing or during installation.I also went with the Tuya smart plug, which is HIGHLY recommended. While "neat" that you can use Alexa or Google to verbally open and close the shade, the real feature is the ability to create a routine to have the shade open and close on specific schedules. Both the Tuya app and Alexa routine DOES allow you to open/close the shade to specific percentages, even on routines. That is pretty wild.I set my schedule to close at a specific time at night and open at a specific time in the afternoon. The instructions for the Tuya setup were quite clear and there is a QR code on the side of the device to obtain instructions. Once I paired the shade with the Tuya app I tested (prior to installation) the functions. Alexa then picked up the new device and I tested every scenario.Measure carefully! If your window is very high, go with the solar panel. If you want automation, go with the Tuya smart plug - although using the remote every day is easy enough if you want to go that route. Most important of all - TEST functions and assembly PRIOR to installation, I cannot stress that enough. Understand HOW this all works and fits together. That will make life easy for you once you are up on a ladder :)Five stars

Excellent product with great price!
Overall this product is very well made and easy to control once you figure out how all the settings work. My unit (with a solar charger and WIFI controller) is installed on a skylight. I have it scheduled to shut and open when the sun is over the skylight. The price with the solar charger and the WIFI controller is considerably lower than competitors.Couple of recommendations when installing:1. Make sure to charge the motor unit before installation. Despite having the solar charger, it did not have enough power to operate the motor. I had to use a battery bank to power and charge it while I was installing it.2. Remove the limiter setting according to the instruction. The setting only allowed the unit to close about 6 inches before stopping (at least for my unit). This was the most frustrating part of the installation. Once it was removed, I was able to set the lower and upper limit.Couple of recommendations to the manufacturer:1. Would love to see an overwrite option in the app, that skip the closing schedule if the weather forecast is cloudy.2. Include a written installation manual with numerical steps, including steps for setting up the motor (it was not as straight forward as the video on YouTube) and WIFI controller (with QR links to the videos).

Good Product-bad instructions and no customer service available
The media could not be loaded. The blinds work well once you figure them out. The instructions are terrible.First, the measurement instructions and the customization instructions conflict and one says that I should deduct 1/8 and the other says that they will do it automatically. Well, they didn't do it and my fit was super tight. I was able to make it work because I have very good DIY skills. Nevertheless, take the 1/8 off on the length yourself and it might help.Mine came without screws for the solar panels and I used 3M double sided Marine tape and it worked fine. the solar panels are on the top of the shades anyway, so not much needed there. I also used the double sided tape on the trim piece that covered the motor and winder roller. That worked as well since the trim piece didn't come with holes drilled in it or an other way to secure the trim piece.I bought two shades for the two skylights in my kitchen. The first one took me a few hours because of the tightness of the space without the 1/8 deduction and I wanted to do it right. The second one took 20 min to install and then didnt work. I installed it exactly like the other one, but it was trying to wind the cord while trying to unwind the shades and binding up. After an hour and a half of rewinding, I figured it was the remote, but the programing and reprogramming instructions were terrible so that didnt work. Then it hit me, the shades are driven on up and down primarily by the drivers in the rails on sides and pulled by the cord on the wind up in addition to the rails. The reason it was binding was because I had the rails reversed. The rails were reversed because the numbers applied to the rails at the factory were reversed. Once I swapped the rails and reinstalled everything, it worked like magic. Unfortunately I wasted about 2 hours troubleshooting myself with ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANCE before ei figured it out.The wi-FI controller was easy enough to install, but they don't tell you that if you have more than one shade they will connect to the same controller and the controller does not tell you that more than one shade is connected but it works that way.Well it works now, but all in all it was a 5 hour install because of the issues with the measurements not matching the instructions and the numbering on the panels being misapplied at the factory. While this set of blinds has the potential to be an easy install, it was not and I have well above average DIY skills. If you don't have skills you should hire someone to measure these for you and then install them.
