Great information, pictures, written so you can understand them. I really enjoy reading theses books!

I have mixed feelings. On one hand it gave the oldest boy a bunch of knowledge and get him excited about raising rabbits, he keeps pulling it out and looking up answers to his questions, seems he studies it harder than his math homework. on the other hand I now have 20 rabbits, and the boy keeps leaving this book out on the table.

Very helpful includes everything in one place. You can't go wrong with a storey guide - they get you going and then some.

This book is more about housing a commercial rabbit population than pet rabbit husbandry. It is informative.

I always recommend Storey's raising guides I have the Sheep, Dairy Goat, and Poultry books as well.This book does not focus on specific breeds, but an overall guide on rabbits and their care in general.We are getting into breeding flemish giants for our kiddo's 4H projects, this book is filled with so much information. It can help you pick out a rabbit and care for it as a pet/meat animal/or showing. I know you can search and find most of the info online but I still highly recommend this book because it's easy to search through and it covers everything (the common things you know to search for and things you won't think to search for until you have something come up)

Bob Bennett is an excellent business man and provides a frank, clear, usable, and inspirational book on rabbits as livestock. This is not a pet rabbit book, though it covers rabbits thoroughly enough including their breeds, feeding, care, and housing in a detail that would also be useful to owners of pet rabbits. I have read a lot of farming and livestock books. They are normally not as good as Bennett's book. He is to the point, yet covers each topic in adequate detail. I found it a very easy and enjoyable read, yet I go back to it for reference.After this book, I was able get the appropriate supplies and was able to successfully obtain quality breeding stock that are doing very well.
