Brings back memories. I read this as a child and alwas\ys include among other gifts to my friend's kids.

この本が有名なのは知っていましたが、表紙の絵があまりそそらなかったので、ずっと手にしていませんでした。ある日図書館でぱらぱらと中を見てみたら、中のイラストはとってもかわいくて楽しくて、びっくり！「風が吹けば桶屋がもうかる」的なテンポのよいお話もユーモラスで、一気にお気に入りに。食わず嫌いの方は、是非一度中を見てみて下さい。 ちょうど図書館でこの本の読み聞かせもやっていました。内容を暗記している子供もたくさんいます。"If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of ..."と図書館員が読むと、子供たちが"milk!"と元気に答えていました。 上記のような英文が見開きに１、２つ。３才から小学生まで楽しめそう。いきいきとした英語の勉強にもなります。 ちなみに、シリーズの"If you give a moose a muffin"も読んでみました。こちらは、５才児頃からの方がよさそうです。英文の問題ではなく、出てくる場面設定が、やや大きめの子向けです。

ばかばかしいけど、おもしろくてテンポがいいので子供が すぐはまってしまう。次にどうなるとおもってる期待感と おもしろさがあり、表現を日常にもすぐまねしてしまいたくなる本。

2歳児くらいからの読み聞かせに！

I find this book is funny because the mouse already knows where he needs to sweep, but he gets so confused that he sweeps the entire house. I like this book because it is a circle story.

Este livro é simplesmente fantástico. Pode-se realizar várias atividades com ele. E as crianças adoram.

The story is really fun, and the illustrations are fantastic. My grandson and I enjoy reading it together so much. The mouse is very funny and just perfect, and the poor boy can't keep up with all the requests. I definitely recommend this book.
