Fun and Fast scooter for kids (including big kids)
A neighbor had one of these scooters and we decided to get it for our sons 9th birthday. It is definitely more power than he needed at his size but he can handle it and rides responsibly plus I feel like this scooter will last him for several years of use. It really is a great scooter that can be used by kids all ages and sizes (fun for the whole family). I even have been known to ride it myself and I am 6'4", 220lbs and a mid 40's big kid at heart. This scooter is very well made and heavy. Assembly was super fast and easy when it arrived. Tires are well made and provide a nice soft ride. Handles easy, brakes are very responsive, and acceleration is really fast....this thing is super quick. Have used it for about 6 months now and not showing any signs of losing power or charge. Usually just keep it in the garage and charge it overnight...always trying to unplug it the next morning as sometimes it may go a few days or more without being used. Very happy with this purchase and seems to be the most popular scooter in the neighborhood as a couple other families are now planning on picking them up for their kids over the holidays. My only suggestion is maybe add a cup holder?? Very Good product and lot of fun for the whole family. Always ride with a helmet and proper pads though as this scooter does accelerate quickly and it has a pretty fast top speed.

Long lasting
Love the Razor e300 electric scooter! I bought one in 2016, I still have it and it works great. The battery probably needs to be replaced but for being 4 years old it still goes about 12 - 15 blocks before needing to be recharged. It has always been garage kept and not left out at night or in rain.I recently bought another one April 2020, the same Razor e300 because we loved the other one so much. I did not buy the newer version cuz the reviews were not as good as the older version. I'm glad I did buy it because it's great. It goes very very far before being recharged. It is great for kids and adults. Of course the more you weigh, the slower it will go. Easy to ride. Easy to charge. The only thing would be that its heavy, not that we pick it up and carry it around but if you wanted to use it for commuting, you cant just pick it up and put it on your back or bringing it up stairs. And it does not fold up, which makes no difference to us. Love love love them! Highly recommend!

A-OKAY
Wow it's been a while since I reviewed anything on Amazon. But I was pretty happy with my Razor E300 scooter so here's my take:Purchased this scooter October 2016 to commute to work 4 times a week. When I first started riding, from home to work one way is around 1.6 miles and it only took 15-20 minutes- not too shabby considering it is on the hills of San Francisco. For 6-8 months, it worked great- 1 charge got me to and from home without me having to take my charger to work. The last 4 months, I definitely noticed the battery dying so I had to charge twice per day- once when I get to work and once when I get home. The scooter has been noticeably slower as well. It doesn't go as fast as it used to- I do the same route everyday so it obvious that the scooter isn't making the lights like it used to. After one year of continuous use, I am now looking to donate this to the local Goodwill (it still has life in it and I am sure some kid would love to go on a joy ride on it) and need to find a new scooter transportation.I know what you are thinking- "Geez. Only a year?" Actually, despite it only lasting for one year, I thought it was a great investment- I only paid $225 (tax included) whereas the San Francisco monthly bus pass is $75/month. So I ended up saving almost $700 in transportation costs #winningPros:Wide, hardy tiresPretty quick chargeBarely any maintenance neededSturdy and easy to maneuverCons:Not the prettiest of all scootersOn/off switch- very steal-able if left unattended in publicSlightly cumbersome and heavyCannot fold

***UPDATED AFTER 2 YEARS *** So far so good (but would have preferred GREAT)
This was my son's first step into motorized riders of any kind. He has enjoyed analog Razor scooters, skateboards, bicycles so this was kind of a get-around-the-neighborhood novelty. I believe the E300 is (or at least WAS) the largest/heaviest/fastest of the razor E models. Assembly was easy and build quality is good- everything aligns, nothing rattles. It is super easy to ride- good balance even for a 6'-1" rider that has to uncomfortably stoop to ride all other kick-n-go Razor scooters. However, the bars are still uncomfortably narrow for anyone with wide shoulders- more like a joystick than handlebars. They do, however, keep the unit compact and maneuverable in tight spaces. There is plenty of room on the footbed for even big feet. After months of riding, everything still works and battery seems to have same kick it did when new.A few notes:- The wheels do not roll particularly true- not in rotation or on plane. They wobble a bit. You can't necessarily feel it in the grips or under foot but it just makes for kind of a harmonic wobble when you ride.- The twist-grip throttle is a little awkward to operate- maybe because of the narrow bar issue. You have t control speed with the same element you are using to steer. This has never been a problem on lots of different motorcycles for me, but having to roll the throttle back and steer with the narrow bars definitely takes a few minutes to get used to. You have to turn, not push on the bars or lean so if you've never ridden a motorcycle- probably not an issue.- The brakes work well. If you need to stop quickly and squeeze the handle hard, prepare to get friendly with the pavement! However, the simple disc set up is easy to regulate for smooth, non-emergency stops.- After about 1/2 hour of riding, there is noticeable fade in power- especially if trying to climb even minimal grades.- The top speed is a bit disappointing. It is advertised at 15mph (I think). I have not put a gun on it yet, but it feels more like 10-12mph with a 190 pound rider on it (me). It might get a bit quicker with my much lighter son on it, but still doubt it scrapes 15. If you want "safe" fun- great. If you want to live a little and risk some skin-and-meat, step up to combustion machines! My opinion- best suited for 12 and younger and no, uhh... "big" kids (like me).*** TWO year'ish update- My son, who is taller and heavier now (about 5'-9" 120 lbs) than at time of purchase, still rides this thing 2-3 times a week- mostly on asphalt and gravel roads with an occasional and way-too-intentional off-road adventure! Battery life seems to be near-equal to new. Nothing has broken. Nothing rattles or squeaks. Everything works, pretty much, like new. It is still not a precision machine, but is proving to be more durable than I would have anticipated.
