JavaScript: The Good Parts

Loved each and every line of the book. The way author describes the bad programming patterns and mitigating those shortcomings is great. The railroad diagrams made things visualize easily. If you have already been programming JS for sometime , this is probably the book you have to read. Other books might tell you the basics of JS , but this book will tell you how to use those basics applying right patterns.JavaScript has both good and bad parts . A sound knowledge on the good parts is what you will get by reading this book. The author himself quotes “If you want to learn more about the bad parts and how to use them badly, consult any other JavaScript book.”I felt lively , like sitting next to the author while reading most of the text.

Good beginning book on javascript.

its been around a week and i have been in love with the book ever since then ,awesome explanations you might have to go through the book couple of times to grasp the real concepts but that is ok and totally worth the time.

Must read to know the history of javascript. After reading this book you need to do practise using fiddle or some other. And if you understand each concept than it will not take you to understand any client side frameworks like angualrjs

This is a good book. But don't expect all the advanced stuff... Every basic thing will be covered in good way. It's good to have for who is learning JavaScript from beginner level, but not for advanced level. Every topic will have 1 to 2 pages... How it works Behind the scenes is well explained. Not many examples are shown. No diagrams except few flow graphs. It's ok to have but don't expect much from it. I recommend 'Head First JavaScript' for fun and in-depth learning...******No content about DOM. Just JS.But if you are a beginner, this is the best. Quality is perfect. Delivered earlier than expected.

A good book.. But absolutely not for beginners. The eloquent javascript is a Way better Book or the complete reference one.

A very good book to read, I will recomend all javascript overs to read this book and enjoy and ease frontend development ..
