This is my second purchase of these cables, love them. Essential for connecting a 4-pin headphone/mic combo headset to a PC with dual 3-pin inputs for school and teleconferencing.Very elegant / classy looking, also they appear high quality. Finally what sets them apart is the diameter of the plug is smaller than most, obviously the 3.5mm connector is entirely the normal standard, but the rest of the plug beyond the connector is a smaller diameter than most, so if you need to connect them to a phone or any device with a cover these are likely to fit better than a cable with a large diameter plug.

While this works perfectly as a 9" extender for your headphone cord, you won't be using your microphone any time soon. I tried every kind of windows update and troubleshooting but the microphone portion doesn't work as it should. I used my gaming headphones, but the microphone didn't work AT ALL. I switched over to some earbuds with a built in mic and while I got the microphone to work, the sound I recorded was like I was 100 yards away in an echo-y tunnel. Spend a few extra dollars and make sure the product has a lot of reviews. Look specifically for "3-pin to 4-pin audio splitter" you'll get better results.Cheers

I ordered this for a turtle beach ear force recon 50p gaming headset, which works on console and pc. Howerver to use the microphone on a pc, you need one of these, a pc cord splitter. For me this product was either defective or just broken.One star.

My husband bought a set of headphones to play WOW but because of the way they were designed he could not plug the headset and make them light up at the same time. So he needed a double male, single female adapter and this works perfect

These don't create a clear connection. There's a lot of interference happening. Also have to adjust the direction it's plugged in to change the audio from a "buzz" to sounding somewhat normal. I do not recommend. I've tried two different headsets and have the same issue.
