Sweet Doll for Toddler
My granddaughter loves Dora and she was thrilled with her birthday present. This 12 inch doll was the perfect size for the two-year-old to tote around comfortably or snuggle in bed with. Love the fact that she is dressed in a nightgown as it has made getting ready for bed an easier routine. Dora also closes her eyes to go to sleep...though they do close a tad loud. Once we all got used to the sound it became ok. I'm not sure how long the hair will stay in pigtails....and we might have some bedhead issues to work out. Oh well.

Doll is dirty and looks very old. box is dented. Price tag on the box says $21.99 but they had the nerve to charge me $42.21. Look for another toy!!!

So Cute!
My 2-year daughter LOVES to sleep with her Sweet Dreams Dora! She got her for Christmas and was so excited! The voice doesn't sound at all like Dora from the TV show, but at 2, my daughter doesn't care. She knows that's her Dora :) She sings, talks and closes her eyes when she's laying down. Her head is hard while having a plush body, which makes her just the perfect amount of snuggly. So happy I made this purchase!

Not a fan!
OKAY...so I am not a bit enthused with this Dora. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter is not in love with it either. When she opened the box she was so excited and she loved the fact that Dora talked but that lasted all of 15min and she doesn't want her anymore. Let me tell you why.1. Dora's head is very heavy. She has a soft body but the head is hard and the speaker/voice device box is stored in her headwhich is what makes it heavy. My daughter is thin and dainty so it was a bit heavy for her.2. The eyes for this doll state they close at bedtime which they do but they are very loud and unless you sit her straight up the eyesdo not open fully making her look drunk for lack of a better description. My daughter was so frustrated trying to get her eyes tofully open.3. She sings a song and speaks a few other Spanish word or phrases (can't remember at the moment) but she really doesn'tsound like Dora to me...pretty close though. The TV Dora is actually really annoying with her loud high pitch voice tone so I wasrelieved when the doll was not that pitchy. Also you push her belly for the songs and they are hypersensitive. My daughter didsleep with her a few times and when she rolled over I would hear that doll singing!4. What is the deal with the Dora dolls out there and their hair??!! This is actually the 3rd Dora my daughter has and frankly I'msurprised that as popular as Dora is that there just isn't a quality Dora doll out there. They either don't really look like Dora or they are just not the greatest quality. The hair on this Dora is a better quality than the other 2 my daughter has but her hair can only be worn in 2 pigtails because of the way it was sewn on and they include a brush but you really can't brush her hair the way it is. I had to remove the bands from her pigtails and her hair is poorly done when you do that. It looks like a disasterous haircut! When you comb her hair it becomes matty easily and mixes with her bangs making it a hot mess! I finally put it back in pigtails but not with the bands it comes with (had to cut those off). I used to off my daughter's ponytail holders. And when has Dora ever worn pigtails on the show??!! Oh and BTW...doll does not come with pretty purple bows as pictured, tight clear rubber bands instead. The other gripe is all 3 Dora's my daughter owns has hair missing (meaning not fully sewn on the head) They leave a lot of space and there is not hair all over her head (any of them)-you'll see what I mean if you order. When I had dolls growing up, this was not such a pain! I'm just overall disappointed. Still waiting for a really great Dora doll...my daughter will probably outgrow by then! The doll is cute, better than the others but not really a winner for me or my daughter. Good luck!!

Loud Eyes, but Cute Doll
You pretty much get what you see - she's very loud, though. Her eyes make a REALLY loud sound when opening and closing (it's weird - don't know why they couldn't have figured out how to remedy that before production . . . dolls have had open/shut eyes for almost a century, and they didn't sound this ridiculous). Her voice is also pretty loud, although that's a plus in my house, where sounds have a lot of competition. All in all, she's cute, and my daughter loves her!
