I’m obsessed!!
I am obsessed with this entire line of lotions!!!Because the reviews for all the different types are together I’m going to highlight them all here as I have tried and loved every single one of them. For background on me. I’m 60 but take good care of myself and people usually think I’m 10-15 years younger than I am. I do have some age “tells” though that if you look closely would give my age away. And these lotions are making those go away. I have spent tons of money over the years and am a product junkie and I’ve never found anything that works better on my face - yes my face(!) or my body than Medix 5.5 lotions.Collagen and Peptides lotion is the one that started my love affair with this brand. All the lotions are loaded with dimethicone which fills in all the lines and plumps skin and it is amazing. Spackle for skin. Anyway after just a few days my reasonably deep forehead lines (age tell) are way less deep. Noticeably. I’ve taken such good care of myself I don’t expect to turn back the clock at all - I’m happy just slowing it down - but those lines are better. Also my skin is baby butt smooth and any alligator lines are gone. There isn’t really a smell aside from the normal lotion smell. This stuff is amazing!! Do not be afraid to use these on your face. The ingredients are safe, gentle and effective.I tried the retinol lotion. Now I’m actually very allergic to retinol but I’ve only used it on my face and I figured in a body lotion surely it’s not too strong. Well I put it on my body at night (retinol and sunlight don’t mix and I’m a Florida girl) and woke up needing a benedryl. There’s a good amount of retinol in there. Lol. No bad smell and I wish I could use this on my face but I do skim it on my legs lightly once a week or so.Hyaluronic acid and cica extract. Ok watch out for this one. This smells strongly of rose. And it doesn’t go away. I love hyaluronic acid to hold in hydration but the smell is way too strong for me. Medix has a booster that has no odor and can be mixed in and I prefer that. I am using this up by applying it before I shower and then rubbing it in with the water and showering as usual. But this one I’ll probably pass on next time.Argan oil and Vitamin E is another solid basic lotion. Smells like lotion and hydrates well. This one is also great.Vitamin C and Turmeric is a great lotion but it does smell strongly and body spray doesn’t cover the smell. But it works like it should so I will keep using this one (only at night because Vitamin C and sunshine don’t mix either). So this one has helped a lot with my brown spots on my hands and chest (another tell). I haven’t used it too much out of love for my husband sleeping next to me but I can see a difference.Coconut oil and manuka honey - this one smells fabulous! Like the best coconut tropical suntan lotion but it’s not overpowering and sadly it fades quickly. The lotion is good just like all of them although I don’t think it makes as big an impact as some of the others.Hope this helps. I cannot say enough good things about these lotion!!

Purchased on a whim-now it’s part of my nightly routine!
I impulse ordered this on July 10th during Prime Week because it was on sale and I’ve been noticing just the slightest bit of crepey texture starting to show up on my upper arms. I also recently moved somewhere with a very dry climate so my skin is THIRSTY.I'm super picky about lotion and this one surprised me. It’s thick but absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave a greasy layer, and the scent is light—almost herbal, and pretty. After about two weeks of using it nightly, my skin feels super smooth and firm. Not in a dramatic facelift kind of way, but definitely more “I drink water and use good skincare” energy.Pros:-A little goes a long way so it will last a while-Skin feels smoother and more hydrated without being oily-Slight firming effect I didn’t expect this soon-Big bottle, sturdy pump - and it looks great sitting on my bathtub-Lovely fresh scent that I get compliments onCons:-If you’re sensitive to active ingredients, maybe start with every other day due to the retinol-Smells soo good but it fades somewhat quicklyOverall, it’s a solid addition to my routine and I’ll definitely keep using it. Glad I grabbed it on sale, but I’ll happily keep buying at full price.

Effective duo (even for sensitive skin)
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Vitamin C/Turmeric Lotion:1. Ferulic acid helps:A.) Stabilize (l-)ascorbic acid, slowing oxidation of 1 of 2 forms of vitamin C in the lotion (well, ingredients just call it "Ascorbic Acid," but assuming it's referring to L-Ascorbic Acid rather than, say, D-Ascorbic Acid), so the active stays effective for longer.B.) Lost of studies show that combinig ferulic acid with vitamin C 2x photoprotection, ultimately helping you get more bang for your buck.C.) Combining these two antioxidants (C + F) boosts collagen production.2. Great supporting cast of other beneficial ingredients (although I'm unsure of how concentrated they are, as the company doesn't list amounts)Retinol / Ferulic Acid Body Cream:1. Ferulic acid helps:A.) Reduce irritation--especially nice if you have sensitive skin but want to introduce retinol into your skincare routineB.) Mitigate UV damage, which is nice since retinol notoriously makes your skin more sensitive to sun exposure (still need to use sunblock!)C.) Boost (potentially / more research needed) retinol absorption2. Soothing supporting cast of other ingredientsThis is my second bottle of the Medix 5.5 Retinol body cream. It dries out my sensitive skin a little, but it doesn't cause irritation (no stinging, dermatitis, etc.) for me. The dryness is easy to deal with by either reducing the number of times you use it per week and/or layering on another, simple (no actives) cream on top.Pro:1. Definitely works; my skins never dry in summer ,but I noticed skin sloughing off my readily in and in larger amounts the last time I exfoliated.2. Reasonable price3. Fine consistency Cons:1. Medix 5.5 does not list the amounts of active ingredients in these products--at this point, with so many great products on the market, this is enough to turn smart consumers into the arms of more transparent companies. 2. Not a huge fan of the smell--something like nondescript "fruit" flavored gum chemicals? Hard to put my finger on--but it's tolerable/not a deal-breaker. They have an unscented version of the retinol body cram, but I didn't come across a combo pack with the unscented version + vitamin c lotion, so I just went with the scented bottle again.Tip: If you have sensitive skin, consider opting to alternate days: Vitamin C lotion one day, Retinol lotion the next, and so on.
