Love the Optimus humidifier!!! Purchase the 1.7 for a bedroom - worth the extra $ - nice finish in white...no water discoloration - easy fill - and these are just the sleeves that cover the heating element. Infrequently need to be changed - can wash and air dry if needed BUT I use distilled water so no need for sleeves yet, but purchased just in case.

These help reduce the mineral buildup on the heating element in the humidifier. We've tried a lot of humidifiers for our house and our piano room, and the Optimus have worked the best. You have to clean the heating element regularly, however. The absorption sleeves help, but the glue holding the velcro fasteners seems to decay with heat, and so the sleeves wear out faster than you might expect. We've also used filtered water to reduce the mineral buildup and the cleanup problems.

Our house is very dry in winter, and a humidifier is a necessity. Last year we couldn't find these simple moisture wicks anywhere, and were afraid that we'd have to get another humidifier this year. Hallelujah! We're back in business.

Great Value for the money. The humidifier this fits can't be run without these sleeves, so it's a good value.

I down rated these filters because of the design,the method of securing them. These filters ars expensive and meant to be used many times, yet after 2 or 3 cleanings one of the Velcro strips came loose.

It is quiet, easy to refill and keep clean. I had no problem getting replacement sleeves which seems to have been a problem previously. (I think about 3 sleeves will last me the winter season.)

Replacement for original equipment, works well.
