Baking Sheet Small 28cm x 33cm Alan Silverwood

The media could not be loaded. Wanted a baking sheet for the truly excellent Cookworks mini fan oven that Argos sells and at the moment Amazon don't sell oddly. Anyway, I measured the wire shelf that came with oven and this sheet should be a prefect fit, which is nice as small baking sheets are as rare as hens teeth!On arrival I was a bit miffed to find that the sheet was too wide to fit in oven! Checked packaging on the sheet and it should have fitted fine. Re measured the oven shelf and it should have fitted fine still.Measured the Silverwood baking sheet and is is not the same size as the label on it says it is! Nice! <rolls eyes>So the only way through this was to make the sheet smaller, used my trusty aviation snips, and got the sheet trimmed back down to size required, and all is now good!In use this sheet cooks things beautifully, and as instructed by the label, I oiled it using ground nut oil, in return I got no hint of sticking food, it also washed up easily and wonderfully every time so far. It's very nice to get decent and proper instructions with anything these days, sadly it is all too rare as well.This was my first Silverwood product and although I had a slightly wobbly start with the sizing, I really like their stuff. In fact I have since ordered a 7" loose bottom cake tin and that has been tried out and it is also fully wonderful! However that is not the size it says on it's own label either.So, I think these are top products, and will collect a fair few as I am starting from scratch with baking, and I am so glad I got so very lucky with this one as my first metal bakeware purchase.I don't think it too unkind to take one star away for the incorrect measurements, as it turns purchases into a bit of a lottery if you use a mini oven. I use that as, for baking, there is no better way to go. Good even temps and lives at bench level so you can really keep an eye on the bake as it progresses, essential things while learning.Will buy more for sure, and probably won't buy any other brand now I've seen how these perform. No messing about for me, even if it does cost a little bit more than some others. Wish they would make this one a good fit right out of the pack, but you can't have everything I guess. I did not and will not be taking up the size with the seller as the issue is clearly outside their control.If I can work out how, then I will upload a video I made showing the size problem quite clearly.
