What a lovely idea.
This book clearly explains some of the most common logical fallacies with some delightfully quirky illustrations and lovely examples of their usage. A book aimed at the teen to adult market no doubt, but so well written and put together, it can be used to teach any interested pre-teen to avoid falling into bad thinking habits.

Not all illustrated books are for children - as this book on flawed logic demonstrates.
Children's books contain lots of picturesThis book has lots of picturesThis is a children's bookA classic example of flawed logic that many reviewers seem to be guilty of. Just because a book is illustrated (with drawings) it does not mean it "must be for children", as this book demonstrates. This is an introductory book for basic logic and argumentative "traps", and is aimed, I feel, at an adult audience, or at the very least late teens. The cartoons (which, to be honest, vary in their effectiveness which is why it fails to get five stars) are there to pictorially illustrate (and maybe fix better in the mind, being as for many people a picture is more memorable) the subject of the flawed argument. This also makes for a rather lighter read than I suspect a more traditional tome might have been. It's still something to make you think. however, but the layout makes that exercise much more fun.

One to own
An absolutely wonderful and entertaining book that not only breaks down the types of bad argument simply for the reader, but offers examples and entertaining illustrations of anthromorhic animal characters to demonstrate each. A terrific little hard-back book to own.

Beautifully illustrated book of knowledge
Good book, delivered on time. Lovely illustrations and easy to understand. Bought for general reading and would recommend - easy read which educates. Makes a potentially confusing topic easy to understand in a memorable way.

Good idea but not very readable.
The idea is good but it's not as readable as I had hoped it would be. I bought it for my Grandchildren (8 - 12 y.o. who are very bright) but I don't think they found it as intriging as I hoped they would. However, neither did I despite (usually) enjoying this type of reading.

Arguments Made Easy
Bought as a present for a friend, I had a page through it before wrapping it up and it is very good! Clever and easy to understand the basic constructs, giving you enough to decide whether you want to perhaps pursue some deeper texts on the matter! It's now on my wish list of books to have :)
