Great party game, and the best "Roll and Write"
I have never been a fan of Roll and Write games. I do like the idea of simultaneous play however because it does speed up gameplay and you can get multiple games in because of that (I do have a shorter attention span - I can play games that are an hour and a half, but only if I am really interested in the game, 2 hours I'm usually bored). A game really only lasts 30-40 minutes. I have looked at a wide variety of Roll and Write games though, and always thought......meh, maybe. Then I saw this one and was like okay, here is a card game disguised as a Roll and Write, and that is what it really feels like. Gameplay: Yes there are numbers, but at the same time you also get to play certain abilities to achieve things to get victory points. VERY COOL. There are a wide variety of ways to get victory points, including common goal cards that you want to pay attention to so there is some player interaction that way because you want to pay attention to waht others are doing. The gameplay is straight forward so basically everyone can enjoy once they are about 10, and can handle as many people as you want to play. FANTASTIC. Components: The pad for gameplay is a great design, the paper is nice quality, and very decorative. However, I do recommend getting the dry erase boards so that you can save the game pad for when you want to have larger groups (the dry erase boards are cheap). I also recommend sleeving the cards because they don't necessarily look like the best quality, although they do feel nice (but with lots of shuffling who knows - better safe than sorry). The cellophane mine came in was tacky to the touch, and actually left imprints on the outermost cards. Once sleeved you can't tell (I will admit, I played without sleeves the first game, and after shuffling I had no idea which cards they were). Dry erase boards and pens fit easily in the box even with sleeved cards if you take out the cardboard insert. I read that some people didn't like the player guide, but mine are thick card stock, look great and are very convenient. Awesome game for everyone to play, and does not feel too individualistic and independent. There are also a wide variety of add-ons and expansions you can get which is great. What a great game that I will travel with as well (my new favorite traveling party game).

Great game, easy to teach
I love this game! We've played this now with 2-4 people and everyone who has played it has enjoyed it. It's super easy to teach (always a big plus with new games!), is super fun, and can actually be pretty challenging the deeper in to the game you get. It looks easy, but has a sudoku-esque element of having to fit all the numbers in a line without repetition (there are rules to the game that allow you to duplicate a number in a development, but you can be "dinged" for this during scoring if it's done too many times!). It's not the most complicated, but it has enough meat to it that it makes it interesting for us "gamers" and equally as entertaining to those who aren't. This is a great addition to round out your collection, I highly recommend it!

Great easy game for lots of people
All you need to play this game is something to write with and the game board page. It does not use dice, and an unlimited amount of people could play. There is very minimal reading - most things are in pretty universal pictures (green trees = park). Lots of strategy though for a simple game, and multiple ways to play make it interesting for repeated play. The pad of game sheets will last a long time, but the company sells replacements pads along with a lot of expansions! Zombies! Winter! Apocalypse! They even have wipe off boards if you get tired of using the paper sheets. A great game to bring out at parties that has minimal set up and minimal explanations but is still fun.

Just complicated enough to be super fun - highly recommend!
I bought this game solely on the indirect recommendation of Daniel Radcliffe having just read an interview with him where he said he enjoys playing it with his girlfriend, which was good enough for me. While reading the instructions I started to wonder if the game was too complicated to learn to play or be fun, but it turns out it’s really great! Once I started playing it was quite easy to learn but fun to play over and over. The whole game is essentially planning and investment based on uncertainty in future card turns. It would be easy to play with friends remotely because the only thing each player needs is their own score sheet, which is actually available as an iPhone app which we use instead of the paper pages that come with it. The other players just need to see the two cards for each turn along with the mission cards which remain the same for the whole game. And since there are several mission cards and you never know how the cards will fall and pair with each other, it’s fun to play again and again.

Easy fun game for as many players as you want!
Great game with simple rules, complex, flexible strategy, and allows for any number of players to play. A nice alternative to team party games for larger gatherings for people who like a bit of added "crunch" when they play.

A very nice variant to roll-and-write gaming!
I ordered this game from Deep Water Games just prior to their expansion going up on Kickstarter. This game was originally printed by Blue Cocker Games in Europe, and brought to the English market by Deep Water. While the rules were easy to learn, I did not understand exactly was a BIS was at first. Once I did a little digging on the internet, I found that BIS addressing is mainly used in Europe. Since this is styled as a 50s-era neighborhood building game in the US, I felt like that particular rule didn't translate very well. However, the game was still quite enjoyable. I liked the play style, and the fact that nobody has to wait for their turn (since everyone plays at the same time). The pencils included in the game were super short, so I opted to use a mechanical pencil instead. Incidentally, and this is not a big deal, the back of the box states that pencils are included while the included rule book says they are not. The QR code printed in the rule book allows you to download a scoresheet app for your smart device, but I found it to be quite sluggish on my iPad. Had I played with the app, I think I would have been quite frustrated. Looking forward to seeing more from Deep Water Games!
