If you are an Educator, you need to read this book.
If you are an educator, you need to read this book. It is harrowing to understand that decades of research have not brought us closer to understanding how our students learn. It's even more worrisome, that we are not alone - our students do not understand how to learn. Nilson provides a very interesting perspective on understanding the student as learner and what students need to do to enhance their learning bench- strength, and help educators understand how they can help their students improve their self-discipline, their focus, their THINKING.

Insightful
I learned a lot from this book and it includes a lot of useful forms. I do wish the description had been more clear that it is intended for college-age learners.

This esteemed author, Linda B. Nilson, has once again added to the teaching and learning literature in a book that helps faculty members create students who learn to monitor and regulate their learning, take responsibility for their learning, and in the process, become critical thinkers.
